SL 510 Lenovo Screen Goes Black like a short on offf

SOURCE: Screen goes black after windows XP logo, then no response.

I would suggest checking your hard drive to see whether or not it has a bad sector on it.

Take out your battery and hold down the power button for 60secs... This will release any excess charge built up in the machine.Put the power back on but without the battery,just plug the adapter and if it turns on then you know what's wrong.You need a new battery.Make your laptop light.Make sure you don't have anything attached to the Laptop and then restart. It could also be your hardware [motherboard,graphics card,screen] problem,if you can,try tightening the screen connection from inside. If that also doesn't solve the problem then you need to go to the company service center.

looks like it has something to do with your BIOS you should try updating it or better take it to a proffesional so he can do it because if you do it wrong you will lose your laptop it will become onusefull

Make sure you have not accidentally used the FN+F5 key
That combination sets the laptop to use an external display.

If using that does not give you a display take a small torch (flashlight if in USA) and shine it at an angle on the laptop screen.
If you can see any sort of picture you would be looking at replacement of some minor parts to the laptop screen

Is the camera turned on? try to press FN+ESC at the same time to turn your camera on.
