SOURCE: Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.

If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.

But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

Your drive motor is over heating. Usually caused by friction from the walk belt. The belt needs to be lubricated. (silicone only) Loosen the adjusting screws on the rear of the macine ten revolutions lift up the belt and using a spray silicone lubricant (from any big retailer) spray a light film on the deck (walk board). Retighten the adjusting bolts ten revolutions. If this does not help I would suggest replacing the walk belt. Good Luck, Tim

There are a couple possibilities.
Remove the motor cover and run the machine.
Check the tension of the motor belt. It may need to be tightened. 2manyhobbies.jpg
Check that the pulley has not broken free from the front roller by stopping the walking belt when the machine is running. If the belt stops, but the motor and pulley keep turning, the pulley has broken free from the front roller.
If this is the case, with a drill and small drill bit, drill a hole through the pulley and roller on the inside edge of the pulley, between the ribs (not where the motor belt travels) and put a screw through the plastic into the metal roller.
Otherwise, change the roller.
Good Luck.

I have a Nordictrack A2250 NTL806.0 moter working fine check the reel switch that fine but. problem is when you start the track it run for like 2 sec then stop.ever thing else works fan work goes up a

This sounds like there is an inadequate power supply to the panel circuit. Check that the batteries are properly seated in the battery compartment. Also, check that the batteries are not low or dead, as it could be that they are seated properly but not providing the necessary charge to the panel when you switch it on.

When I turn on my nordictrack e4400 it runs for 1 second and then stops

hi,
There are two possibilities for this problem
1. Check the speed sensor on near the motor pulley. Remove the sensor and clean it and re-fix it. then make a try. if problem remains then
2. The motor speed controller is faulty. There is an IGBT for controlling the motor speed. If it get shorted the motor will run it its high speed.

Be sure before opening the treadmill remove the power.

NordicTrack 2500 R Treadmill Doesnt want to start rolling, even though the program appears to be running on the display. And on the rare occasion it does start, it stops again after 2-3 minutes.

# get a 12-18 volt dc battery fully charged(like one from a cordless drill)
# Make sure it is fully charged, because it won't work if not
# attach the + and - to the motor red is + and black is -
# If the motor turns slightly your motor is ok, if not the motor is bad and would need replaced
# if the motor is ok then your motor controller(the board with the metal) is malfunctioning and would need replaced.
