HP1315v prints blank page. I have checked the cartridges, both black and color cartridges have plenty of ink. I have tried to align the cartidges but the alignment page prints blank.

I can access all the printer utilites and when I print the job shows up in the printer queue and when the blank page has printed out the queue is emptied. Running MacOSX10.6.8 Printer is plugged directly into the wall socket, not through power strip.

can you find a clean print head option try this three or four times and fill us in on if this helped. Was it working before and has just stopped working ?

Did do the clean print head. No change.
I haven't used this printer recently so it could be the printer is kaput. I also read some advice that said if I can't print a test page (I get the same blank page when I try to print test page) there is a hardware problem with the printer.

Here was the solution. You MUST use HP brand black cartridge. Originally I purchased a #94 Office Max brand black cartridge. After it did not work I took it back and they gave me a second Office Max brand and that did not work either. So I took it back and they sold me an HP brand (I only needed to pay the difference in price so Office Max was good to work with). I installed the HP #94 black cartridge and everything now works.

i had the same problem and just repeated the cleaning and testing, eventually the black showed up but took more than a few repetitions

if still the issue is not resolve then contact hp tollfree number 1800-474-6836 they will replaced the printer if the warranty period is there.

Turn both your printer and computer off then after a few minutes turn back on. This should cancel the print job.

Make sure you've removed the shipping tape from the cartridge's print head. More than likely the black cartridge is not disbursing ink - clean the print head carefully with "Q" tip and alcohol and see if black ink comes out slightly. Re-insert cartridge and try again. Perform "clean cartridge" in printer properties window.

New brother laser printer hl-2140 with new ink cartridge . All printed pages are covered with black ink. Slide the cleaner and even change cartidge, but same problem.

Please try to re align the print heads and service the carraige assembly of the printer ( Place where you slot in your cartridge). if it doesnt work then there is a leakage on the ink piping system.

Replace the Ink service station.

I just got off the HP help line. After changing my black ink cartridge a test page was printing each time I turned the machine on. This is very costly, in both time and ink as the cartridges themselves for this machine hold very little ink. I tried to learn from HP tech how to turn off the test-print while keeping my color cartridge empty. It turns out that you cant do it. HP requires you to keep buying and using cartridges whether you need them or not.If you buy the color ink it will use it up in its testings. And if you dont buy the color cartridge it will use up your black ink by printing the test each time you turn on the printer. The printer was inexpensive sure, but I'm paying for it in wasted ink.

Color cartridge problem

the color cantridge u changed is genew or u have token the other and just fill them fith ink???

if u have bought new cartidges go try print a test page and check if u have installed the cartidges corectly

if u havn bought genew cartidges i seems that the heads are blocked with ink!! go buy some new ones and i believe u will be fine

Canon MP780 didn't report out of ink and now will not pring blanck

Have you tried cleaning or aligning the heads? Were the first cartridges refills? when an ink cartridge is refilled (depending on the model) the printer needs to be tricked into thinking a "new" cartidge is being installed. You may need to check the owners manual to see if the is the case. I have had to use tape to block off certain contacts, then remove the cartidge and block off another section of contacts, then remove tape all together and re-insert the cartridge.
