Solutions To Connect Canon Printer to Mac
Once You Have Downloaded the Canon Driver on Your Mac OS, you have to Pursue the Following Guidelines;

Open the printer operator installed.
Now to follow the installation process, press the Canon printer driver.
Click on the' start permission' button.
To restart the installation process, press Download.

You need to go on your mac and download the driver and install it on your mac.
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/support-inkjet-printer/ip-series/pixma-ip6000d
Assuming printer only has UBS interface Mac should recognise the printer is connected to it once you install the driver .
If it has an internet protocol ip address tcp/IP then give printer an ip address in the range of the MAC and it will be detected by the mac.

Your computer does not recognize the printer. You will need to download the printers drivers into your computer. You should have gotten it with the printer. It is on a CD. If not, search the web for a free download of your printers drivers.

Have mac computer running os9 and Canon Pixma MP530 all-in-one officejet. Printer not recognized so it won't print. I can print in OS10

if the printer is newer than the OS is will not recognize it, you will have to locate an OS9 driver for it.

The pixma ip6000 is only a printer - it does not scan and therefore cannot copy.

u can find the USB cable in any computer store. better to find in the store from where u bought the printer.
generally the USB cable comes with the printer printer. check the packing list for confirmation.
