My iphone 5 and iphone 5s cannot connect to wifi

Do they work on any other wifi networks? If you haven't tried this try this first of all. If it works on other networks but not your own then call your internet service provider. Try to connect other devices to your network - If non-Apple devices connect then your wifi security settings might need to be upgraded.

If they are working on other networks:
Try to turn on airplane mode by going into Settings > Airplane Mode. Leave it on for at least 10 seconds.
If that doesn't work try to reset your network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Still not working? Next try a restore to factory settings. First, back up all your information. I recommend a backup through iTunes as well as making sure your pictures/contacts have another backup. If this is a software issue you won't be able to restore your iPhone from a backup, it will bring the glitch back. Plug it into a computer with the newest form of iTunes - click on the restore iPhone button. When you test out the phone, do not restore from backup. If the problem is still there you have a hardware issue.
Apple stores and the Apple help line can run a diagnostic to see if you have a wifi hardware issue too. If you have a hardware issue you can get them to fix it (free if it's in warranty) or try to take it apart and replace the parts yourself. This does void the warranty.

I recently found an Apple iPhone 4 16GB in the mall parking lot. I was just wondering, since it has Wi-Fi capabilitys, would I be tracked by the network provider (Bell) if I was to use the internet on the...

ha ha !!!!!,I don't think so.

First of all what the Apple iPhone was made for in the first place was not for you network provider to be tracking you where ever you go, it's for your own use alone. Network providers just gives you access to operate the phone by providing network for your access your Apple iPhone.

How does Wi-Fi work on a Apple iPhone ?

Apple's iPhone is a multimedia connectivity tool. As such, the iPhone employs a sophisticated system to keep you connected to the web via WiFi signals so that you can stay up to date with email, mapping and media. To use the iPhone's WiFi feature just follow these steps.

Instructions on how to use Wi-Fi on your iPhone.........

Tap a network. If you have not yet used your iPhone's WiFi or if you're in a new WiFi area, the iPhone will show you a list of available networks. Tap the network that you want to connect to in order to connect. If there is a password required a little lock icon appears. Enter the password to connect to locked networks and continue to surf the web.

Monitor your signal. As you use your iPhone, especially if you're moving around, you should take a look at the signal strength of the connection. The strength is indicated by a small, black broadcast symbol that stacks arches, or rounded bars, on top of one another. The more bars there are the better the signal.

Make connecting to WiFi automatic or manual. The iPhone is equipped to automatically search for available networks and connect you to one. If you do not want the phone to search for networks, select the "WiFi" option on the phone's menu. Then select either the on or off option of the "Ask To Join Networks." Turning this option off requires that you find networks manually.

Forget a network. Once you connect to a WiFi network once the iPhone automatically remembers the network and connects you to it at a later opportunity. To forget a network so you don't get automatically connected choose the "WiFi" option on the menu. Then tap the right arrow button next to one of the networks that the iPhone already remembers. Then tap "Forget This Network" to erase the phone's memory of the network. That all, Very easy to use too.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for using fixya.....
