I have a frost free upright ge freezer that quit working. No cold at all. It is less that 2 years old. Where did the quality go in GE? I have a GE microwave and it broke within the first year. Is it me or...

when the compressor is working and dont produce cold maybe the tube is leaking, causing the freon gas to scape. you need to reprocess your freezer to clean up and to find leaking tube to fix it. you nee a white line technician to fix your problem.

My upright Frigidaire freezer is not freezing completly. The food is still frozen but when I put in my new popcilcles to freeze ( a week later) they are slushy when they should be completly frozen solid....

Check temp. in freezer shoud be 0 to -5 Deg. Check condensor if dirty clean some units had a recall on diers cap.tube to far in dier also check for ice on back wall if icedup check defrost heater and defrost timer check evap. fan make sure it's turning.

I have a maytag upright freezer. It is on the coldest setting. A bowl of water on the bottom shelf freezes overnight. The middle one is freezing, but not entirely. The top one is still water, but cold....

check to make sure door seals are touching the frame all round, could be an air leak,also make sure there is no ice build up around the inside casing. if so fully defrost unit,clean all vents/drain pipe, then turn back on and leave it for 24hrs (freezers work beast when full).....and door shut..how many times have you closed door after them????

Problem with upright freezer not freezing

It sounds like the unit is low on freon or the compressor is going bad. You have several other components that could be affecting this as well. Make sure the coils are free from dust and clean underneath. This is a bit premature for you to have problems now, especially since it is a Sears product.

My ge upright freezer dosnt freez im almost sure it needs freon and i am certified im just not sure what type of freon it takes can you help

it should be notated on the compressor on the door and maybe inside the fridge. if my memory serves me correctly i think the clean air act states that it should contain r22. if nothing else you can call GE's support line and they can answer that question.
