Thermostat clicking sound - Heating & Cooling

Sorry to say, that annoying clicking sound is the thermostat calling for cooling/heat. Whenever the temperature is reached it will "click" off and then "click" back on when needed. If the thermostat has a display and making a clicking sound, that sounds like the thermostat is working.
