The button is worn out. It should be a relatively inexpensive repair whether you do it yourself or have a technician drop by.

Run an extension cord from another gfci and see if it works. If so, you could have a faulty gfci or issues internally to the motor. Also, if the "home run" for the tub is wired into a sub-panel and the grounds and neutrals are not isolated it could cause problems with a gfci as well.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Garden jacuzzi tub start button is stuck. It won't pop back up

I called a plumber. He said push the button all the way in, put some 3 in 1 oil on the inside (you'll see a little indent) every couple of months. Also push and release the button quickly. Cost me $80, and he even used my oil!!!!

SOURCE: Kohler jacuzzi, whirlpool bathtub will

Hi, first check the air switch hose that connects to the "button"
Open the access for the pump there should be 1/4" poly tubing (probably clear) that connects to the pump motor. It just slides over a barbed nipple usually located somewhere on the back of the pump housing opposite the pipe connections. Make sure it is in place properly. If it is in place then look else where. The tubing also connects to the back of the air switch "button". This button connection rarely fails, especially if the tub was working and now does not. But if the tub is newly installed and may have disconnected during installation. this connection is probably going to be difficult if not impossible to verify since it is usually concealed after installation.
Some pump motors have resets some do not. If it does it probably is on the very back of pump oppositethe pipe connections.
Also check to make sure that any electrical outlets in the bathroom, or any where in a nearby radius of the tub, to see if they have "GFI" reset buttons and make sure that they havn't tripped by pushing in the button between the plug-ins named "reset". Usually the circuit for the pump will be tied into one of these switches to add ground fault protection to the circuit.
If your pump is not working after checking these things it may be dead. Does your pump "hum" after pushing the button? Do you smell any type oder around the pump that would suggest a "burnt motor"?
If the pump is dead you will have to replace it.

SOURCE: I have a Jacuzzi tub and the vacuum switch will

if when you push the air button it will not turn off the pump, it may be the button that is bad on the top of the tub or the air switch located in the motor.
take the pump out and plug it into an outlet. get a straw and blow into the air switch with the pump plugged in still. if it comes on then the button on the top of the tub is bad. if it doesn't come on then the air switch is bad.

On jacuzzi, circuit breaker trips when turned on. What could be the problem?

Is it simply a circuit breaker, or a safety switch as well?

If just a circuit breaker, something is causing a too-high electric current flow. If a safety switch, there is a fault to ground somewhere in the jacuzzi.

Either way I would not get in it or turn it on until an electrician has checked it over. With any device where you sit in the water, you need to have high confidence there are no electrical faults waiting to zap you. I'd call a jacuzzi outlet and ask them for the name of a knowledgable sparkie.

That's about the best we can tell you at this range.

I have a whirlpool jacuzzi tub. I wired to diagram but when tub is full and I turn on jets it trips a breaker. Not GFCI outlet but breaker panel breaker.

Sounds like you may not have a ground on the motor of the pump or a grounded outlet?
check the wiring on the motor on the cord to make sure there are no wires improperly attached inside the motor housing.

Jacuzzi hot tub, aero select. pops circuit breaker as soon as switch is thrown. I disconected both motors and panel. still blows. Unit is about 8 Years old. Is there anywhere I can get a schmatic or any...

Your Jacuzzi should be connected to a large GFI breaker. If it pops as soon as you turn something on, there is an imbalance between the legs supplying the power to your device. When my (small "J") jacuzzi (at about age 15) did this, I discovered a small leak that had dripped onto the circuit board and had left a deposit causing a "short". I was able to clean the deposit off of the board physically, I fixed the leak and return my tub to service.

The GFI is very sensitive and for good reason. It protects you from dangerous electric voltages, even though the danger is low.

How to wire up a spa or jacuzzi

Breaker, even GFI's are designed to trip at 135% to 600% over there load rate, so not to scare you but it depends more on the wire used from the main panel to the dryer/hot tube then the breaker. A GFI's claim to fame is the speed at which it will trip if voltage is detected on the ground side of the breaker. So to answer a question with a question, Can you overload a GFI without tripping it, Yes you can, just be careful the life of your hot tube motor and heater could be in danger if you overload the circuit.

My jacuzzi stopped turning on.

I would check all power to the tub. Is it plugged straight to a breaker, plugged into a GFCI, GFCI breaker in the master panel? For it to just stop altogether I would think something tripped.
