Make sure treadmill is running when you adjust belt. The treadmill belt tracks as the belt goes around. I usually put machine on 2-2.5 if belt is not rubbing instantly. If belt is already against plastic, turn adj. counterclockwise on the opposite side about one full turn. You can usually move belt with your foot to see if it aligns any with turning on the treadmill. Once belt is not rubbing, turn treadmill on and continue alighing the belt.

I replaced the tires on my 2003 mitsubishi eclipse 2 months ago & the front two have worn to the wires on both sides. a week ago there was still some tread on them. why could this be happening?

1. What brand and model of tire was fitted?

2. Please describe the wear pattern on the front tires in more detail. For example is the excessive tread wear.....
A. Right across the face of the tread on each tire or
B. On the outside edges of the tread on each tire or
C. on the inside edges of the tread on each tire or
D. on both sides of the tread but not on the center section of the tread on both tires.
-----------------------------------------------------
B is normally caused by incorrect toe setting - toe in
C is also normally caused by incorrect toe setting - toe out
D is normally caused by tire pressure set way too low.

Faulty steering and suspension components can also cause abnormal tire wear for any component that affects the wheel alignment settings.
------------------------------------------------------------------
If you can provide a better description of the tire wear on each front tire you will get a better answer.

I have a proform treadmill that slips as soon as i step on track i looked at the belt it looks good how do i tighten up the track

There should be adjustment screws on the back left and right sides. The screws will be horizontal with the tread, and probably need an allen wrench to tighten. If the tread runs straight, tighten each side 1/4 turn at a time to keep them even. Check the tread after each adjustment, and stop as soon as the tread quits slipping.

Proform treadmill belt won't stay centered. travels to left and rubs against side

Adjust the tension on the right side rear using an allen wrench. Try 1/4 turn clockwise( should tighten). then run tread mill for 30 sec. to see if it centers itself. repeat again if not. if its to tight then turn the left side in a 1/4 turn

Title: Treadmill Belt Problem

determine which side is off centered

If the tread is migrating from the left you need to adjust the tension adjustment on the right and side of the roller and make it tighter

Most adjustments are made by turning a set screw that moves the idler roller ( the roller that is at the end of the tread mill which is where you first get on)

TO ADJUST:

1 TURN THE POWER OFF AND UNPLUG AT WALL OUTLET

2 Locate the adjustment screw( remember you will adjust the side opposite the migration to tighten the roller)

3 manually force the treadmill belt over toward the proper path( I do this by taking my hand and sliding my fingers under the belt and lift the belt as I hand roll it

4 Turn the adjustment screw counter clockwise one revolution

5 plug in then turn on and see if it stays in place

6 Keep repeating the process ( steps 1,2,3,and 4 )

Treadmill adjustment on bowflex 5000tc

There are two hexagonal screws on either side of the front rollers, and four inset hexagonal screws on the back rollers. Turn it on the lowest speed while turning the ones in front, one at a time. You'll see the tread move from one side to the other. Tightening the screws bring the rollers out, pulling the rubber tread taught, and to the left or right, depending on which screw you're turning at the time. The treads should roughly be the same tension, adjusting both inside and outside front screws for each tread. If you have the dual rear rollers, you'd then have to stop the machine after finishing the fronts and tighten the four inset hexagonal screws on each of the rear rollers. No adjustment per se, just tighten them. If you don't, you'll have a sort of clunking, or clicking noise from the imbalance. The single rear roller is a little different, and the adjustment I believe, can be found on this site:

Good luck.
