Hi First open "Menu" and go to profile and activate the "General" during this if a message "Insert Sim Card" is prompt, the problem is from the damage of sim card/sim card IC/sim card slot.Before you contact mobile repairing shop put another sim card to your phone.If the problem still persist contact nearest mobile repairing shop.Good luck

In the USA phones that use SIM cards operate on the GSM or iDen network(s).

Verizon uses the CDMA network and therefore their phones do not use a SIM card. To activate the phone you'll need to call Verizon and have them activate the phone for service on their network.

there might be problem with the sim card holder. try to insert some piece of paper folded atop the sim card and close the sim holder

Just log on to www.verizonwireless.com log in and you can activate the phone online. You cannot just swap the Sim card. If you have issues activating it online you can just call Verizon and have them activate the old phone.
