You absolutely need tires on both wheels. This will allow the blade to track smoothly and save premature wear of the blade, not to mention make the saw run much more quietly.

the best advice I can give you is search the model # on google.

Page 22-24 shows you how to remove the mower. You will need the manual for the snowblower to mount it to the tractor.
If you don't have the manual for the snowblower go to managemylife.com. Under the manuals tab put in the model number of the snowblower (you will find it on the snowblower and it looks like 123.123456)
You can view, download, and print the manual there.
It is a pretty big job. It will take you about 5 minutes to remove the mower and about 3 hours to mount the snowblower.
