That's a VERY old device you're looking for. However I was able to find several available for sale on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=iPhone+4S). I would strongly encourage you to look for a newer device as a 4S may soon become unsupported. Best of luck!

Try resetting the network settings. Settings>General>Reset, if that doesn't fix it you should power off the device, remove the SIM, put it back in, then reboot. If all else fails you will need to back up and restore through iTunes on a computer. If you call Apple, ultimately that is all they will tell you outside of calling your cellular provider which could sadly lead to hours of frustration for a problem that is one of three things. 1. The phone itself 2. Bad service, as satellites do move, and service changes 3. A bad SIM card. I used to work for Apple, so I hope this can save a call to them. Good luck!

Generally look for a "certified by apple" mark. You could also look for an aftermarket product from companies like "mophie" (www.mophie.com), for a case with a built in battery.

Nothing is for free, If it is...It'll normally cost you in the long run.
Try asking your network provider.
They will charge you a small fee.
