Hello, the problem seem to be related to the video card you're currently using, See if you have an integrated video card: a hint to find out is to see behind your computer if the monitor connection is on a side of the back panel is probable you have an incompatible integrated video system, you can solve this problem by buying and installing a compatible video card as any Nvidia or ATI card, Call an IT professional and ask for some advice on what card you should buy and install to make these problems disappear, also ask him/her to install it for you.

see if there is 2 files 1. Game.reg and engine.rez at C:\Program Files\Groove Games\Marine Sharpshooter II Jungle Warfare (if install simple setup) else lookout at game folder if not there reinstall the game.

Good morning, I was given a 3 pack (Marine SharpShooter Trilogy as a gift, & was deployed (Militarily) soon afterwards, so I hadn't set it up on my computer. I am home now, & loaded the 1st disc...

It is a video compatibility error. First make sure you have DirectX 10. Download HERE.

The error message: 'Could Not Initialize Renderer' means that your video card does not fully support the features required by Marine Sharpshooter II (Hardware T&L Not Supported)

Now we need to talk about your video chip. You haven't listed what you have for video in your computer so I can only give you general help. Try the following and if you need more help post back with you specific video chip make and model.

1. download / install 3D-Analyze (http://www.3dfxzone.it/files?object=3dfx&objid=100)
2. select (.exe) program
3. check Emulate HW TnL
4. check Force SW TnL Caps
5. click run

You may end up having to get a DirectX 9.0c compliant card from Nvidia (Geforce) or AMD/ATI (Radeon)

What that essentially means is: your video card does not properly support the features required by Marine Sharpshooter II. Specifically, your card does not support Hardware Transform and Lighting functions, often referred to as Hardware T&L. Essentially, it's a type of processor, or "renderer," of the complex math equations that the video card handles instead of the main CPU.

The Fix: You need at least a nVidia Geforce 2 or ATI Radeon 7200 video card for Marine Sharpshooter II.

i think for such games as marine u need to have windows vista .
do not need to worry check u system configuration first.
OS: Windows 2000/XP/Vista

Hard Drive: 1.5 GB Free

You need in hardware transform and lighting videocard. it is solve.
but... if you dont have it...
directly you can fix file 'cshell.dll' in 'game.rez' manualy. it was made it no one lives forever 2 by patch 1.3 like that.
anyway you can write to developers to fix it. I tried to write them myself, but no results till now.
