My sony projector vlp dx100 blinking six times what is the main problem? please help me

SOURCE: Sony VLP-SC50 lamp shuts down and temp/fan light blinks

that means the fan is broken... say to call sony customer support. Probably gonna charge you an arm and a leg to fix it so im gonna try to nstall a new fam myself

hi,
check the power cable first. also check the power at the wall out let. if all ok, the ur projectors smps power supply have some problem. check the same if found faulty replace it. for any assistance feel free to contact through fixya.

Morning, it flashes red light six times

From the manual:

Press the (ON/STANDBY) switch to turn on the projector. If
the power is not turned on, disconnect the AC power cord, then
confirm the ON/STANDBY lamp is turned off. After about 10
seconds, reconnect the AC power cord and turn on the power
again. If the indicators still light up, the electrical system has a

Reset Timer Lamp Sony VPL-HS60 projector

To reset the lamp timer:
1) With the projector plugged in and turned off, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button to put the projector in 'STANDBY' mode. NOTE: You have to press the button on the projector itself, you cannot use the remote for this step (this is not clear in manual).
2) Now, using the remote, press the following keys in order: RESET, <--, -->, ENTER.
3) Timer should now read '0'.
