My Seagate 9KW2A6-502 880gb - Hard Drives when connected to my lap top does nothing but light itself up. no sign of life on my laptop

First u check the laptop Display
if it has display, thn it might be problem ur windows
instead of it.
if computer does not give display thn u check the power adopter of ur laptop.
after all gonig through these steps.even u find all these above steps perfect.
it will mean,
it might be problem of ur hardware.
lets check out it by ur computer vendor.

hi..the reason for your problem is your extenal
hard drive has been affected by viruses.The best
solution to this problem is scanning your hard drive.
once you scan it u will be free of viruses and your
laptop will be able to recognise your hard drive.

Check the drive letter assignment for the disks, and make sure it is not the C: driver.
I am assuming you can boot and then plug the disk, right?
So use the Disk Manager to check the driver letter, and change it if it is conflicting with another disk.
