SOURCE: How to connect headphones to this tv.

The only way to accomplish this will require an external amplifier.

Connect the program out to the input of the external amp and use the headphones from there. Disconnect the speakers or turn them off in the audio menu.

Hope this helps,
Dan

SOURCE: My 26 inch Panasonic Viera

Check you USER MANUAL to make sure it is actually a headphone OUTPUT jack and not a digital INPUT jack.

If your tv does not have a headphone output jack you can always get an adapter that plugs into the red and white AUDIO OUT jacks in the back.

If you want to turn off your tv's speakers, go to the MENU.
Then go to AUDIO then select SPEAKERS OFF.

Good luck and please post back with how you make out.

SOURCE: having problem with audio, with auria tv (when unplug headphones, sound will not come back on tv)

The socket for the jack on the set has a leaf connection that when you insert the jack moves aside routing sound to head phones and cutting it off to speakers= the socket for the jack is out of position inside, either needs to be replaced or tweaked inside just a little.

Not much else can cause this if the headphones work.

I have Thomson WHP3001BK wireless earphones.( purchased for me ) AND Bose TV sound system will the earphones cut out the sound for other TV watchers.

Hi Anonymous, you are surely taking the signal for your wireless headphones, from the headphone output of your Bose sound system
This usually cuts the sound in the external speakers
Try to find another type of audio output for your headphones
Comment on what Bose system you have, so I would try to find a better solution
I hope you comment

Esto por lo general, corta el sonido en los parlantes exteriores
Trata de buscar otro tipo de salida de audio para tus auriculares
Comenta que sistema Bose tienes, as? tratar?a de encontrar una mejor soluci?n

No sound

Does this mean you have picture? If yes then did you try connecting a pair of headphones into the headphones jack to see if sound? This should help us check if its a problem with the speakers or the audio/video mainboard.
