Headphones are wanting to pai but my TV doesn't respond

try changing the sound output sometimes the tv will change to headphones only so you have so change it back to the tv speakers your owners manual should tell you how to do this
SOURCE: How to connect headphones to this tv.
The only way to accomplish this will require an external amplifier.
Connect the program out to the input of the external amp and use the headphones from there. Disconnect the speakers or turn them off in the audio menu.
Hope this helps,
Dan

Check you USER MANUAL to make sure it is actually a headphone OUTPUT jack and not a digital INPUT jack.
If your tv does not have a headphone output jack you can always get an adapter that plugs into the red and white AUDIO OUT jacks in the back.
If you want to turn off your tv's speakers, go to the MENU.
Then go to AUDIO then select SPEAKERS OFF.
Good luck and please post back with how you make out.
Testimonial: "Found the manual & it is a headphone jack. No instruction on how to use it but after trial & error can now use headphones. "
SOURCE: having problem with audio, with auria tv (when unplug headphones, sound will not come back on tv)
The socket for the jack on the set has a leaf connection that when you insert the jack moves aside routing sound to head phones and cutting it off to speakers= the socket for the jack is out of position inside, either needs to be replaced or tweaked inside just a little.
Not much else can cause this if the headphones work.
http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/RPWF6000-MUL.PDF heres the instruction manual try switcing the very right switch from digital1,digital 2,or analog see if this will clear the sound up for you double check all your wired connections to see if everything is hooked up properly as well happy new year hope this helps.
Testimonial: "Unfortunately this is the wrong model of headphones, however, many thanks for taking the time."
