SOURCE: Induced Draft Blower Not Blowing- 3 Blinks on LED

Your doing well just right. When the call for heat is on the draft motor gets a call from the board to come on. When this happens if no voltage is present at the motor then you ahve abad baord. Replace it.

SOURCE: The draft inducer comes on and the furnace lites

When a furnace is replaced with a newer style unit like yours with an inducer motor, they sometimes use the old vent pipe. These old style vent pipes are transite (light weight cement), the moisture created from your furnace exhaust is caught on the cool transite surface and runs back down into the blower blades or wheel bringing a white mineral deposit with it which causes your problem. The vent should nave been replaced with the heater using a metal vent material. You will need to replace your inducer motor assembly and vent pipe to prevent a recurrence.

SOURCE: goodman furnace draft inducer motor doesnt start

Hi,

Using a voltage meter check and see if you have 120 volts at the motor... if so then the motor is bad....

If there is no voltage to the motor then the board is bad....

Replace the motor or board as needed...

SOURCE: It seems the bearings on

While you may be able to get just a motor it will not save you much. You will also run the risk of damage to the housing or fan(s) when you take the old one apart and try to install a new motor. Unless the new blower unit is several hundred dollars I would recommend you replace the whole assembly.

My carrier model # 48ss-036100331 induced-draft motor will not start

On some of those inducer motors there is also a capacitor in the blower compartment on the left side of the burner section. It is possible that if you have 230v coming from the board CM terminals and if the motor is new maybe you have a bad capacitor in the blower section. Follow the wires to the capacitor and check microfarad reading to that capacitor. Caution there maybe 2 in this area but one is for the indoor blower motor and the other will be for the draft motor. The blower capacitor may be somewhere between 10 or 15 mfd but the draft inducer capacitor will be around 3 mfd. hope this helps

Fedders gas furnace exhaust fan comes on but will not ignite

The induced draft motor you describe has a pressure switch proves the induced draft motor is running, it is about 4 inches across and silver and flat and round, it has 2 wires and a tube that atttaches to the induced draft assembly onto a barbed port, this barbed port will obstruct with carbon and needs to be cleared annually with a tiny dril bit or similar device.

Hello, it sounds like the pressure switch is not closing on your furnace and remaining open, reasons for this could be a blocked flue pipe, the tubing going from the inducer motor to pressure switch could be blocked, loose, or have condensation in it, or the switch itself is bad. U can check the tubing by taking it off blowing some air through it and making sure no condensation is in the tubing, then reinstall it. If everything checks out good then the pressure switch is bad and must be replaced.
