Manuel for baby lock 1550

Sewusa claims to have the manual for $10 plus shipping. See http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Babylock_Manuals/BL_1550_Instruction_Manual.htm . This other site, http://www.sewingmanuals.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/babylock.htm , also claims to have the manual.

Unfortunately, Babylock no longer has the manual for the Companion 1550 (BL1550) for download. It's unlikely that any Babylock dealers will have the manual. However, dealers will often provide manuals if they have them for a small fee.

I'm sewing with a Baby Lock Companion 1550. The top thread keeps snapping. Is this a tension problem?

Check to make sure the thread is not getting hung up on the notch in the spool. Happens to me a lot.
