There is a spring at the base of the handle for the auger that has broken or the plastic piece has broken

Single stage has one rotating blade that collects and exhausts via upper shoot.


Two stage has one blade for gathering into the center and a second that exhausts via shoot.


The two stage works best!!

Put on a new belt

It just slips on the gromet .

Your belt is probably slipping Is your snowblower a single stage or dual stage?
If it is single stage, there are normally multiple holes that you can put the engagement cable into on the lever. If so, move the cable to a hole that is further away, so the lever pulls the cable further. If it's already in the furthest hole, it's time for a new belt.
If you have a dual stage blower, the adjustment is usually made at the idler pulley, found under the belt cover.

both Yard Machines Summit series single stage snow blowers are 4 CYCLE.... Straight gas only!!!
