Verbatim compact flash card has over 200 photos corrupted files. I volunteered to take photos for local senior anniversary I was the main camera now, I have lost the content. Files are Dcim--JPO, POG and worse coded files not JPEGs and I even with trial acdsee repair I am unable to rename and restore these photo files. CVS photo was able to open some of the files with their program but advised we would need to find the proper recovery program to restore some of the files.HELP

I have a canon XSI camera. i have the following problem. After i took some pictures ,i took off the sd memory card from the camera to see the pictures in the pc.I saw the pictures wihtout problems and when...

Yes, you are correct. Many people think that the little slider on the memory card is a switch that does something inside the card. In fact, the slider is just that... a tiny plastic slide and nothing else. There is indeed a microswitch inside the camera, and it is necessary that the plastic slide operates this microswitch (which it should do in the 'unlocked' position) for writing to the card to be enabled. If the microswitch is not operated, the camera gives 'card locked' error.

Try a different card. If you find one that works, perhaps the tolerances are out of spec. If no card works, perhaps the microswitch is actually broken.

I took the CF card out of my Rebel XTi EOS camera to look at the pictures on my computer. When I put the CF card back in the camera I am getting the message "There is a problem with the CF card. ...

This is an old posting but I'd like to comment that once the memory card is used in a computer it won't read in the camera again until you format the memory card. Make sure you have all your pictures on the computer before formatting the memory card. A memory card must be formatted in the camera it is going to be used in.

Yes you can recover most or all if you act quickly. Go to your local staples or other computer store and speak with the technician about which piece of software you will need. j.

My computer or memory card wont allow me to load my pictures

Its a problem of your card. your memory card may infected by virus so scan the card by updated virusfree conputer. If there is nothing gonna find then remember one more thing that all memory card have a life time. If the card corss the limit of lifetime image capacity that time its happend like these way.

Thanks, i am waiting for your feed back & if you satisfied then thumps me please.

Try putting a tiny piece of scotch tape over the lock slider. See if that works.

Canon XSI showing "busy" when taking multiple shots

It can be that your batteries are low and takes longer to charge the flash... It can also be that your memory card is a slow on. If the red processing light on the back of the camera is staying on a long time, it means the camera is having trouble feeding the picture to the card... You might try decreasing the picture quality a little...

I bought a pny 4gb micro sd card for my phone and while my phone will except it when i put it in my computer and try to put music on it it says that there is 0 memory on it and there doesnt seem to be...

It's probably just that you aren't using the correct folders, but...

First, make sure you phone TRUELY sees it as it should. Some phones don't properly handle SDHC cards. As long as it's a picture phone, put in the card(blank and formated) and take some pictures. If you have a data plan, download a tune or two (sprint has "free sample" mp3 download of the week).

Now, take the card out, and access it with the computer.
You should see a picture folder, and a media folder(names depend on the type of phone you have)

Specifically, the music folder is where you want to put your music files.
Also, depending on your phone(you didn't say what kind you had) you should begin trying by uploading 128Kbps mp3 files. Most modern phones should handle that format.

Now, return to the phone, and test it out with either your "mass storage manager" app, or your media player app.

Exilim camera, PNY optima SDHC memory card error

Hi

  1. 1 Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  2. 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  3. 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  4. 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  5. 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  6. 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.
