the new maplin part has a higher voltage rating and is bigger. it will need to be fitted with the leads extended with wire to get it to fit.

I have the YSP1000 and I had a similar issue but it was less frequent. I located the clicking sound which turned out to be a relay on the main circuit board. Before replacing it I removed the relay cover and cleaned the contacts. It has not miss behaved since and that was some 8 months ago. Give it a wizz

I have the sony KDL 46 EX720 and got the code 2751 to work.

so you want to use your remote that you use for your tv with the unit and not the remote that came with it to use with your cabe?

if you are wanting to use the remote that came with the unit here are the following remote codes, or please state the universal remote that you are using the model ect ushally found on the battery cover or inside the battery cover.
