The clicking noise is the protection switch that keep shutting down the unit. This happens when an internal fault had been detected.

Do the following:

Unplug the unit from power for some time.
Remove the bulp and refit it in place.
Restart the unit.

If still in protect mode (clicking , lamp light and no start), then there is a fault.
When the problem is the lamp, the lamp light will come on, but usually protection does not click.
Before buying a new lamp that is expensive, have the projector checked, testing with particular attention the high voltage board that will supply power to the lamp. That may be the fault.
If you have a replacement lamp in storage replace the lamp first.

Model# kf-50we620 no sound,no picture, red light blinking 3 time.and replace light bulb.

Hi,

The Standby/Power light of the TV blinks when there is any internal malfunction in the TV. The self-diagnostic function of the TV will cause the STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue. The number of times the STANDBY light flashes corresponds to a specific issue.

Few examples are given below; some of the issues may be resolved without the need for service.
1 blink / 2 blinks / 5 blinks: - This indicates that there may be a power-related problem with your set.
3 blinks: - This indicates that there may be a power-related problem with your set. The set will need to be serviced to allow a technician to determine the specific issue that needs to be repaired. If the power light flashes three times in sequence in a Lamp TV, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to resolve this issue.
4 blinks: - This indicates that there may be a back light or lamp power problem.
6 blinks: - This indicates that there is some kind of audio problem with your set.
7 blinks: - This indicates that there is a temperature problem with your set. Please check to make sure that the air vents on the sides and back of the set are not blocked or clogged and there is adequate ventilation around the television. We recommend that you check and clean the vents periodically to make sure the set receives adequate air flow. If the problem continues, the set will need to be serviced.
8 blinks: - This indicates that there may be a video-related problem with your set. If the flash sequence is not listed above or the light continues to flash, follow the steps below to perform a power reset:
Try the following steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Turn off the television.
Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

If the issue continues to occur, service may be required.

Okay, so my Panasonic PT-43LC14 went black in mid show last night. The bulb is approximately 18 months old. The LED indicators upon Power On are; Power LED blinks green for approximately 70 seconds; Then...

Check the bulb again and look at the root of where the main stem comes out inside and be sure you don't see any bubble like appearence around the stem at the bottom there. If you do see this then the bulb is bad. Otherwise try this: Hold volume down on front of unit and pip on remote for about 5 seconds. Message will come on screen that timer has been reset to zero. This sets the lamp timer to 0

I plugged in my xd490u [mitsubishi] data projector...and then power turned red, status turned green for few some seconds. later power blinked [red + green] and did not work. can anyone tell me what the...

It sounds like your lamp may need replacing. Before you go that route try all of these:
-Make sure the lamp cover on the bottom is fully attached. -If you unplug the power cord while the fan is rotating, the lamp may not turn on about 1 minute when you plug the power cord next time. After the status indicator stops blinking press the power button to turn it back on. May have to press it multiple times. -If your Power Light continues to blink red/green then you should contact your dealer.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

How do you change the bulb?

Hello :

1:Make sure that your power switch is off and that the power cord is unplugged from the electrical socket.
It is also wise to unplug any other cables and label them in order to restore them in the right way once the lamp is replaced.

2:In order to see the lamp, remove the access handle on the outside cover. You may need to use a screwdriver.

3:Pull out the used lamp and clean the relevant parts using micro fiber products and not paper.
Please note that in some projectors a small inside filter should also be replaced.

4:Insert the new lamp into the projector carefully avoiding touching the glass of the lamp itself.
Touching the lamp will deposit skin oil that will likely damage any new lamp during use.

5:Reassemble the access panel, replug the cables and power up the projector.

Things You'll Need:
new projector lamp
screwdriver
micro fiber duster

Warning:
avoid touching the bare projector lamp

..................................................................

Here are the steps that explained in the manual :

Lamp Replacement Procedure:
1. Switch off the power to the projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
2. Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes.
3. Disconnect the power cord.
4. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the cover.
5. Push up and remove the cover.
6. Remove the 2 screws from the lamp module.
7. Pull out the lamp module.

Wont turn on hear a faint click sound

The faint click sound is the protection circuit that keeps turning off the TV. This happens when an internal fault is detected. Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so. Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected. If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition. The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection. When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons. 1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit. 2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light. If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes. If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault. Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board. Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable. If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

Sony VPL-ES3 Multimedia

Hi Marsat!

Actually both the filter cover and lamp covers have a long straight plastic part which is inserted in small hole. At the end of the holes are micro switches. When you fit the filter cover this switch is pressed and projector knows that it is ok to turn on. Similarly if lamp cover is loose the micro switch is not fully pressed resulting in this message. Tightening it presses the micro swith and the indication vanishes. In your case if plastic parts are intact, lamp cover screw is fully tight, filter is clean and properly seated with a click sound, then may be some micro switch has malfunctioned and you have no option but to take the projector to some qualified repariman.

Flasing red light

The flashing red indicates that either the fileter cover or the lamp cover is not installed correctly. If both are installed properly and secured, the unit will require service.
