How to Configure Rate Limit on S2700&S3700&S5700?

The S600 provides GE downlink interfaces and GE or 10GE uplink interfaces.
The S1720-GFR provides GE downlink and uplink interfaces.
The S1720-GW, S1720-GWR, S1720-GW-E, and S1720-GWR-E provide GE downlink interfaces and GE or 10GE uplink interfaces.
The S2700 and S3700 provide 100M downlink interfaces and GE uplink interfaces.
The S5700 provides GE downlink interfaces, and some models provide 10GE uplink interfaces.
The Huawei S6700 provides 10GE interfaces, and the S6720EI and S6720S-EI provide 40GE uplink interfaces.

All models of the S600, S1720, and Huawei S2700 are Layer 2 switches.
All models of the S3700 and S6700 are Layer 3 switches.
The S5700-LI, S5700S-LI, S5710-LI, S5720-LI, and S5720S-LI series are Layer 2 switches. The S5700-EI, S5700-SI, and S5700-HI series are Layer 3 switches.
All models of the S9300, S7700, S9700, and S12700 are Layer 3 switches.

Assume that the statistics on ping packets from 10.1.1.0/24 need to be collected on the interface Ethernet0/0/1 or GigabitEthernet0/0/1. The configuration is as follows:

After the configuration, run the display traffic policy statistics interface interface-type interface-number command to view the traffic statistics. To re-collect traffic statistics, run the reset traffic policy statistics interface interface-type interface-number command to clear existing traffic statistics first.
NOTE:

• The S2700 or S3700 can collect statistics only on incoming packets.
• The S5700 can collect statistics on incoming and outgoing packets, but cannot collect statistics on packets sent from its own CPU.

When using Huawei power supply units, Huawei fixed switches supports 110 V AC input power. The power consumption of most powered devices (PDs) is 4 W to 5 W; therefore, 250 W and 500 W power supply units can provide sufficient PoE power for PDs.

The default aging time of ARP entries is 20 minutes. You can run the arp expire-time command to change the aging time.
You can also change the number of ARP probes by running the arp detect-times command. The default number of ARP probes is 3.
When the aging time of an ARP entry expires, the device sends a probe packet to the corresponding IP address every 5 seconds. If the device does not receive any response after the specified number of probes, it deletes the ARP entry.
For example, the aging time of ARP entries is set to 60s and the number of ARP probes is set to 6.
After 60s since an ARP entry is generated, the device sends an ARP probe every 5s. If the device does not receive any response after sending six probes, it deletes the ARP entry. Therefore, the actual aging time of the ARP entry is (60 + 6 x 5) = 90s.
NOTE:
For V100R002 version, the S2700/S3700/S5700/S6700 supports the 1/2 probe time and 3/4 probe time. The numbers of probes on the two time points are both 3 and cannot be changed. For example, if the aging time is 20 minutes (1200s) and the number of ARP probes is 6, the SS2700/S3700/S5700/S6700 sends three ARP probes at an interval of 5s after 10 minutes. After 15 minutes, the S2700/S3700/S5700/S6700 also sends three ARP probes at an interval of 5s. After 20 minutes, the S2700/S3700/S5700/S6700 sends six ARP probes at an interval of 5s. If the S2700/S3700/S5700/S6700 does not receive any response, it deletes the ARP entry

Cards of the S5700-SI, S5700-EI, and S5710-LI are not hot swappable. Cards of the S3700-HI, S5700-HI, S5710-EI, S5720-HI, and S5710-HI are hot swappable.
