Hi Tammy:
Many of the older stoves used a similar door hinge system.
When the door is fully opened it can be removed in the following way.
It's much easier with two people.
With one person on each side, lift near the hinge (closest to the stove) then pull away from the stove and at the same time, lift the handle end of the door.
There is a tab and a notch on the hinge arm that has to slide past the retainer.
To re-install, the hinge has to be set for the "door open position".
Slide the hinge arms into the slot so that the tab and slot engage in the correct positions.
Hope this helps.
Cheerfuls. .
First of all, thank you very much for choosing FixYa today for your technical service needs.
Unfortunately, STOVES UK does not provide any online documentation to support their product after the sale. I looked everywhere on the internet but could not locate a copy of that manual for you.
I deeply apologize for not being able to provide the documentation you requested, but sometimes these things are simply not available anywhere online. In the future I would recommend sticking with major manufacturers who produce high quality products and provide better service and online support.
I have a Moffat of about this vintage. Are you saying you can't find where the fuses are? Mine are underneath the left-hand drawer - the drawer under the warming oven. I just pull the drawer out and I can see them.
Only if it is an open burner stove. Sealed burner stoves are converted without removing the top. Which do you have? Your owner's manual shows how to convert it. If you're missing the manual, tell us your stove make & exact model # and we'll see if it's available online to download. Douglas
