Are you please able to provide the actual model no. of the bosch dishwasher. The serial no. is not much help.
The reason it may not be admitting water is because the flood switch may be triggered. This means it will not take any more water and the sound you hear is the pump running to empty the dishwasher. YOu will have to find why the flood switch is turning on. Are you using the AquaSafe circuit in the dishwasher inlet circuit? If water is leaking then this circuit will trigger and stop water from coming through inlet. But then you should also get some alarms on the display.
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.
