code p 0601 refers to engine control module ( ECM) memory check sum error ===causes--- ECM
to correctly reset an ECM use a scan tool for the job
removing the battery can corrupt the CPU program of the ecm and while if can work in some instances there are many cases where other problems are created by that method
Try substituting a know good ECM if the reset fails
The following directions will help you decode your 2002-2006 Nissan Altima's Service Engine Soon (SES) light and reset it.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;">Obtain The Trouble Code</span><br />
<ol>
<li>Turn the ignition key to the ON position and wait three seconds.</li>
<li>Put the accelerator pedal to the floor and release it five times in less than five seconds.</li>
<li>Wait exactly seven seconds. Put the accelerator pedal to the floor for ten seconds until the SES light flashes.</li>
<li>Release the accelerator pedal and start counting flashes to obtain the four-digit trouble code.<br /></li></ol>
<ul>
<li>Long flashes (0.6 seconds) indicate the first digit of the code; count
the blinks one through nine and write down the first digit. (Ten blinks
indicates a zero.) </li>
<li>
The next three digits blink
faster (0.3 second) and have a 1 second pause between digits.</li>
<li>The ECM code repeats until you turn the ignition key to the OFF
position.</li>
<li>You can look up the trouble codes in the Service Manual.</li>
<li>If you get four blinks of ten, or 0000, the ECM indicates no malfunction.<br /></li></ul>
<br style="font-weight: bold;" /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Clear The Trouble Code</span><br />
<ol>
<li>
Clear the code and the SES light by holding the
accelerator pedal down to the floor for 10 seconds or more while the SES light is
blinking.</li>
<li>When the pedal is released, the ECM will erase the trouble
code(s).</li></ol>
code p 0603 refers to engine control module (ECM) ---KAM error===causes ---ECM
also refers to system voltage ---malfunction===causes ---wiring ---poor connections --battery ---alternator ---voltage regulator
check with an auto electrician to see if the voltage regulator is in the ECM in which case replace the ECM
if not have the battery load tested and the alternator checked for correct operation
This can be a hard one need to know if all the tubes and vacuum lines are good including the pcv valve tubes and system if these are in poor repair you may not get the throttle body to stay programmed flashing the ECM won't help unless some one flashed it to the wrong programming before.
Check the wiring between the ECM and the injectors. A pinched or broken wire may contribute to this problem. Also check the ECM terminals for corrosion. Hopefully the problem isn't the ECM itself-they ain't cheap!
OBD Code 22 - Throttle Position Sensor Error (Signal Low) The Throttle Position sensor signals the Engine Control Module as to the current position of the engine throttle valve. The current throttle valve opening is based on the driver's input from the gas pedal. The ECM uses the information from this sensor to help calculate fuel delivery and spark timing.
Symptoms: * Extended cranking, possible no-start condition * Lack of power * Erratic transmission operation
Common Problems: * A failed Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) would be the most common causes for code 22 * Testing the TPS circuit would involve checking voltage and ground from the ECM-5v is the normal reading between the ECM reference circuit and the ECM ground circuit at the TPS connector. Checking the TPS signal circuit to the ECM would involve monitoring the TPS signal on a scan tool while jumping the 5v reference and the signal circuits. The TPS reading should go from high when the circuit is "jumpered" to low when the jumper is removed.
Try resetting the ECM, turn the ignition key to the on position "engine not running" and pull the fuse to the ECM and place it back in. Leave the keys in that position for 30 seconds and then turn it off and on again for 5 seconds and start. this will reset the ECM to default. It may stall again but let it, just start it again and let idle for 3min and go foe a test drive. This should reset the way the engine and transmission performance, and should reset the idle issue on your Envoy. Good luck and keep me posted.
Normally the Audio (Radio CODE) is noted in the owner's manual. If you don't have it, you must contact Hyundai Motor America and give them the Vehicle VIN number... they may then (possibly) be able to give you the CODE.
Your ECM has an error code locked in, when there is an error with the Fuel delivery system/ Exhaust system or any related sensors the ECM runs in a lag mode....Transmissions shift harder and slower (its an electric transmition) it may take longer to accellerate up to speed....My advice would be to go to AutoZone Napa or AAP (which ever is in your neck of the wood) and have them scan your ECM with their scan tool.... This will tell you where to start as far as troubleshooting. Also they can clear your check engine light.....this will make your truck run normal again (until the light trips) Hope this helps
