Line faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent. Line faults to all LCD screen are similar, irrespective of its brand and screen size.

This may be due to a faulty T-Con board that needs replacing, this board is the display driver and will cause all type of symptoms when it is going bad.
HELLO
This is called "Field Collapse". Line collapse is different (a single vertical line) in the centre of the screen.
But field collapse is usually a fault in the field circuit (possibly a field output IC has gone short circuit) or electrolytic capacitors have dried out. The same can happen in a CRT TV - looks as if LCD panels are the same way! I think you will have to take this to a service centre.

How does the tv menue look. Does it cover the stripes or do the stripes affect the menue. if menu ok main board if menu affected bad panel. If under 1 years it is still under Samsung warr. Even if older than 1 year contact Samsung to see if they will cover repair.
