Where do I load legal size paper 8.5 by 14 to print on my m2727nf

The tray should extend to the 14" length size, pull the tray all the way out and look for the unlock (green) lever...Extend the tray to the proper size and then install the paper. You will most likely need to go to your paper size settings in the menu of the printer and tell the machine that you changed the tray to 8.5 x 14...usually under paper tray settings. If you do not have a way to extend the tray then you do not have the option to run 8.5 x 14 paper and an optional tray will need to be purchased, or the bypass tray can be used but only 10-15 sheets at a time.

Hope this helps

What does error 60.03 mean?

This has to do with the paper lifter for tray three. There could be any number of problems with the lifter or tray;

1. incorrect paper size - i.e. someone loaded letter in the tray that is mannually set to legal and didn't change the manual paper slider to letter or papers stuck in the tray,

2. manual paper lifter isn't working properly, motor spring could be broken or out of place,

3. the paper tray could be broken and you will need to replace the tray.

First check that the correct size paper is loaded properly in the tray and that there is no paper detritis stuck anywhere. If the tray has the correct paper and there is not paper detritis then swap tray 2 and 3, reboot the printer and see if the problem moves with the tray - it should become a 60.02 error. If this happens then it is a tray issue. If you still get a 60.03 error then it is a tray 3 lifter motor issue, here is a link that explains what needs to be done.

A lot of the time there is a loud pronounced clicking or banging also associated with the problem. The noise happens during the paper pathway test shortly after you turn the printer on and will display the 60.xx error code instead of the ready status.

The printer is showing a "p" on the display. what does this mean?

The "P" means that you need to add paper into the paper tray or in the manual feed tray. Odds are that you are getting a paper jam from the paper tray? I would try to fill the paper tray with paper & make sure the copier is on a level surface. You may need the paper feed tire's or you may have a paper present sensor broken? I would just use the manual feed tray. Good Luck

The printer is asking to load legal paper in Tray 1 but legal paper does not fit in Tray 1. How can I redirect it to mfp?

Paper up tp 14" long will fit in the paper tray.

Remove the paper tray fully from the printer.

You'll see a blue tab at the rear edge of the tray, this releases the adjustment of the length of the paper tray. Adjust to the size you need, and replace the paper tray.

NOTE when new (and in the box), the printer has tape on the paper cover (at the back of the printer), make sure this has been removed, as it will prevent the paper tray being pushed fully 'home' when adjusted to a large paper size.

If you print a lot on both A4 and Legal size, maybe it would be worth buying a second paper tray and leaving them set for the different sizes you use.

My copier wont pull the paper from the tray...it has a full load of paper in it but when I go to try and make the copy it won't pick it up and then it flashes "P" like it is out of paper

Have you taking out the paper tray and look inside for a piece of paper jammed behind the paper tray. Also, make sure the paper guides in the paper tray are tight against the paper in the tray & make sure the copier is on a level surface. You may also, need the paper feed rollers or clutch. If you need to make copies, use the by - pass tray on the right side.

Paper tray is in the printer, but the printer says missing tray 1

There are two possible solutions: The first is that the lugs on the side of the paper tray are broken, and the printer cannot "see" a paper tray. In this case you need a new paper tray. The other possibility is that the tray and paper size sensor inside the printer is faulty. Often just pushing the contacts can free them, and sometimes the metal prongs that sense the lugs on the side of the paper tray get unseated. Just use your finger to reseat them correctly. If that doesn't work, the sensor board is likely to have failed, and will need replacing

Keeps telling me to put paper in tray-tray is full

Hi,

It sounds like it has lost how to detect the paper tray, this could be possibly the paper tray itself or the configuration on the machine its self, look on the tray and see if it has a paper configuration slide or a magnet on the side or front that is missing, or you will need to go into the menu configuration and choose the paper tray.

913 service motor error

If this is the first time you have seen this error, do the following:
  1. Power off the printer.
  2. Remove all installed paper trays.
  3. Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in each tray. If it is not, reload the paper into that tray.
  4. Look up into the printer where the paper tray slides in and out. Check the feed (autocompensator) assembly for any damage.
  5. If everything is fine, reinstall the tray and power on the printer.
  6. Try printing a few print jobs.
  7. If the error does not return, continue using the printer as before. Keep an eye on it for the next few days. If the error does not return, it may have been an isolated incident.
  8. If the error returns just as soon as you power on the printer or when you try to print again, you will need to find out which paper tray/paper source is causing the problem.
  • If the printer has only the one integrated paper tray, the problem will be with either the tray 1 pick arm/autocompensator assembly or the printer's engine/system board.
  • If the printer has more than one paper tray installed, try printing from each paper tray one at a time. The best way to do this is to have all of the paper trays empty and then proceed as follows:
    1. Put paper in tray 1 only.
    2. Print from tray 1.
    3. If tray 1 works fine, empty tray 1 and put paper in tray 2 and so on until you encounter the error message.
    4. If you receive the error when printing from one particular tray, power off the printer to clear the error.
    5. Power the printer back on.
    6. Skip the faulty paper feed slot and move on to the next one (if another one is present). If you can print from all but one of the paper trays, this is the source of the problem.

If you have extra paper trays/drawer units installed and the error occurs from only one particular source, there are some things you can do as a temporary fix.
      • If the error is occurring from an OPTIONAL paper drawer/source, power off the printer and remove the defective drawer from the printer. You will then need to set up the printer to print from a different tray. For information on removing an optional drawer, click here.
      • If the error is occurring from the integrated paper tray (tray 1) AND you have optional paper trays installed, take all of the paper out of tray 1 but leave tray 1 installed. Set up the printer to print from one of the other paper tray sources (tray 2, tray 3, multi-purpose feeder, etc.).
    7. And if your getting the same error then you need to get it serviced...

Can't print onto thick card

Have you tried specifying the paper type and weight INSTEAD of the tray. Set the tray properties first, then print. If you leave it on auto tray it will use the tray that matches your paper type and weight.
