You will first need to check the remote control for the unit. Point the remote at a video camera and see if you see the remote light up. If it does try first to UNPLUG the unit for at least a couple of hours. If that as well does not work, you will need to have the unit serviced, as it may have a bad remote sensor on the front board or the microprocessor is No good. Depending on how old this unit is, it may not be worth repairing. Good Luck

Yes, there is. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, then
plug it back in while holding down the POWER ON/STANDBY key.
That will clear the contents of the memory, reset the microcomputer and take the unit back to factory settings. Hope this helps. Let me know.
