You must have the remote to do this function. To buy a compatible remote go here. www.remotes.com

You should be able to access all features with the menu button on the TV itself. You make selections on the menu with either the Volume or the Channel buttons. On screen instructions should guide you.

We lost the remote and I can't change the air to cable without going to menu so I need know what I can do or what codes to use the model is gpx kl10085

I believe you need to hunt on Ebay for the correct remote. Most Universal remotes won't do what the factory ones can do.

I need to know how to access menu or run channel scan on rca dta 800b1l converter box without the remote

There is not a way, unless you get a universal remote, scan for the code to control the box, and then get into the menu.

We dont have a manual and we dont know how to change the channel or set the time

To set the clock on the unit, have the TV connected to power but not on. Then press and hold Mem/Clck Adj on the TV (it's the third button from the right in the top row of controls). Use the adjacent Tune/Clk (up/down arrows) to set the clock for 12 or 24 hour time. Then press Mem/Clk Adj again to adjust the hour with the up/down arrows. Press Mem/Clk Adj again and set the minutes. Press Mem/Clk Adj to save the time. The original remote also has these buttons. Mem/Clk Adj is also labeled Set and is the furthest right button on the second to bottom row of the remote. The Tune/Clk buttons are the DN and UP buttons on the left of this row.

Use the Tune/Clk arrows to change the radio channels after pressing the radio button (second from the right on the bottom row). When you press the TV button (first on the right of the bottom row) to watch TV, then you need to use the Channel up/down arrows at the top and bottom of the ring control on the far right of the TV or the Channel + and Channel - buttons on the remote. On the remote, the Channel + button is below the timer button which is below 9 in the keypad section. Enter is below the Channel + button and Channel - is below Enter. Make sure that the TV is in the correct mode for your signal (ATSC for OTA and NTSC for analog cable) by pressing the TV mode button. If you are using a set top box, you will need to change the channels at the box.

Press the TV Menu button and then go down the list to Time to set the time zone for the TV. Press Enter to save the setting. Use the TV Scan button to get a list of available channels before trying to change channels.

The manual for the GPX KL868S is available from GPX at the product page: http://www.gpx.com/store/p/287-KL858S.aspx . The direct link to the English version of the manual is: http://www.gpx.com/owners_manuals/KL858S-IB.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I have just installed a GPX KCL8806DT, i cannot change the chanel or adjust the volume with the remote control....or even manually

I had the same problem. After running the channel scan off the menu keys,( which by the way didn't work the first time ) it did correct the problem, it also took several minutes to complete the scanning.
Hope this helps.
