Model 790.8033 Kenmore Microwave will not turn on and it is not the power scource. Is there a fuse internally or a reset of some kind

Your microwave has an internal fuse. Usually 10 to 20 amp. You can pick some up at home depot or radio shack. Make sure you get the same amps and volts as the original fuse. Will be printed on your microwave some where usually. And if its one that is part of a double oven deal make sure that you check you're circuit breakers for the kitchen. Good luck.

Have issue on my kenmore mic oven model 721.6365330 have no power although fuse is not burnout and poweroutlet has no either problem.

Typically, the internal fuse is not resetable ... hense they call it a fuse ... not a circuit breaker.

Remove the cabinet and find the fuse on the floor of the oven near where the cord enters the cabinet. Check with a contunity checker.

Don't touch anything that looks dangerous ... like the big silver capacitor.

I had the EXACT same symptoms with my Sylvania SR1109sb after a power surge.
After some digging around I thought what the heck let me try holding down the Reset button and do a power off/on cycle and what do you know it worked !!!
Just pressing the Reset did nothing until the cycle off and on.

my kenmore 565 has gone out...no power. We have checked the power supply works. Can we check the internal fuse?

Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it.

Door switch If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work.

Most likely blew internal fuse. Pull the top/side cover off and check the line fuse. It should be behind the control panel in that area.

Check the main internal fuse. Unplug it, unscrew and take off the cover, the fuse should be easily found in the back by the power cord. It looks like a regular fuse but is white instead of clear glass because microwave fuses are special. You'll have to measure it with a meter as a result and be sure to replace it with the same kind. (try finding them at radio shack) Hopefully there isn't something more serious also.

Does the digital display light up at all? Is it completely dead? Are you sure it has power? Have you tried another outlet? If the outlet is good and the unit is completely dead, the internal fuse may have blown. You can try to take the cover off (with the unit unplugged) and look for a blown fuse. Try replacing the fuse with an EXACT fuse of the same rating. Try plugging the unit back in again and see if the unit comes back on. If not, you may have a power supply issue or defective Magnetron.

Please let me know what you find and we'll go from there.
