There is a pin holding the door on upper right hand corner of the door. Holding the door in the open position, lift up on the door a little and remove the pin. The door will come off. There are two screws on the edges of the door on the end where the handle is located. Remove the screws. Now, Take a slim screw driver, and carefully pry between the inside door panel and the ourside door panel starting at the end where the door handle is. Lift the inside of the door out. The opposite end of the inside door panel will come out last. Believe me, this works. Getting it back together is a little bit different, but it snaps back together without using tools. Just put the inside of the door back by laying it down with the handle side down after you have replaced the handle of course. Now, pushing in on the inside of the door panel starting on the handle side, start with lining up the panel and push gently. It will go back into place much much easier than it comes out.

no you don't have to replace the whole door that is lazy :) here is what i did, having the same issues you did with the same model of microwave.
For the KitchenAid microwave, model:
KHMS2050SSS2
I found that i did not have to remove the screw. what i did was loosen the screw as much as it would go before getting tight again.(hard to screw) then on the bottom end of the door hinge (lying on its side) i pryed the bottom hinge off its mount. (with flat head screwdriver) from there i was able to get at the screws to separate the black surrounding stuff from the outside door... then finally i could get inside to get at the door panel controls. I noticed a whole bunch of condensation and on the back of the touch panel (electrical board).. i will replace that part as I think that is the culprit as to why the keys get pressed randomly, beeping randomly and wonkiness :)
