I have a Panasonic Viera TH42PZ80A television and I no longer get the original red button text service to access the texts sent in for Question Time.

Unfortunately, the HDMI standard does not carry the CC digital information, for any TV to decode and display it on its own. Therefore, when watching HDMI source the CC button on the TV's own remote, cannot work.

However, each Cable, Satellite or Internet streaming device can decode the CC information from the source (when available). Then the CC text is inserted into the picture and sent to the TV via HDMI or any other video connection.

Look for CC option on your Cable's or Satellite's remote control, or on the source device's menus.

Either your Cellular Data is turned off and you're trying to send an iMessage, or you don't have any service and your trying to sent a text message. If you're trying to send an iMessage, turn your Cellular Data on. If your trying to send a text message wait until you have better service to send the message.

it means your msg, not deliver or not sent so you have to reset your massage setting

each brand unversal will have its own seperate code for panasonics. I would recommemd getting the original remote which wont require any programming. You can get the remote from www.tvrepairworld.com

Replace or have replaced the convergence IC's there are two of them One for Blue and the other for Red and Green, If one of them has failed as yours have then a good practice is to replace the both as the other is not far behind. The part in your unit is part #STK-392-110 replace them with STK-392-120 for longer life .

Without investigation it is impossible to know what failed. There are a number of boards in that set where there is fairly high current used. It is possible that some components have failed.

The Panasonic service rep would service the set by swapping out the failed modules. If the set is an older model the modules may no longer be available. You can take the set in for an estimate to see if the parts are available, and to see if the set is worth to service.
