You will need to find a cell phone repair shop in your area and have them repair it, if done wrong you will destroy the phone.

I have a new docking stationbut am unable to connect it to my old apple ipod canyou help please

Probably your new docking station is equipped with the new Lightning connector used by iPhones and iPads instead of the 30-pin connector used by old and newer iPods. Search on Internet to see if you can find a Lightning-to-30-pin adapter. Do not get a 30-pin-to-Lightning adapter; you will waste your money. The latter adapter is more readily available, but is used to connect an iPhone or iPad to and OLDER docking station equipped with a 30-pin connector.

Checking ipod connection

Check the pins on the inside of the Ipod and the dock. It could be making contact with the power pins but not the send receive pins. Small pin will help you bend these out gently to make contact again.

I have had the Apple iPod HiFi System (M9867ZA) Docking Station for years now and love it. Only problem is, the mount clip (where the ipod attaches) has broken so no connection to ipod is available. A...

You can get a replacement docking PCB at Ridax. With this you just replace the broken PCB. This can also be used to upgrade a working iPod HiFi to work with newer iPods or iPhones.

Plastic shroud pulled out of docking station power port.

If the 4 input jacks on the back of the SoundDock seem to be okay, then just order a new power supply. If this is not the case, send it in for repair ($100) which upgrades the SoundDock to be able to use the newer iPods (iPod touch 2nd gen, new nano, iPhone 3G)
They give you a new 1 year warranty as well.

Bose docking station chip broke off

I had the same problem that the ipod would onl play when I pulled it forward in the dock. Looking closely, I saw that some of the pins on the left hand side of the connector were bent forward, so I bent them back with a needle:

(ie. pushing the pins to the right, as shown here). This solved the problem for me.

If your connector is too far gone, I suggest looking to:

http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/connector.htm

for a new connector for £3-4 or

http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/connector.htm

for a whole PCB (Printed Circuit Board) replacement for £10-15.

Hope this helps...
