Turned on this afternoon for 30 min with remote, worked fine. Tried turning on tonight by remote, green light flashes briefly but TV does not come on. Tried manually plugging it in to outlet same result. Checked receptacle and surge protector both in working order with other devices. Any ideas, the owners manual is very vague?

You would have to make some checks first. If completely dead, first you can check and see if fuse blown in powersupply. If not then: CHECK IC700 PIN 20 (AC-OFF) FOR 0 VOLTS DC. IF HIGH, CHECK FOR LEAKY D980 PART # 264P045040 ON THE MAIN PCB

You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.
