A lot of times it's easier to set the microwave on its left side, then open the door and work on it.

That way, gravity will help you keep things in place.

On this over the range model, you'd have to pull the oven from the wall. Refer to your installation instruction booklet for details.

We bought a microwave from a 'seconds' store, minus the manual. Following the advice given above I found the model number and search the LG site for product manuals.

The site isn't intuiative, but if you are patient you can find the manual in PDF form and download it to your computer.
