Find the harness. Your best bet. Hit the wrong wire with power(those pins are really close together) and you will no longer have a Jenson stereo.

SOURCE: im puttin a new head unit with a different wire

You can buy a cheap harness from the local parts store for your Honda made specifically to put in aftermarket head units. Since you know the pin outs on your head unit, you can wire it up quickly uning this harness and it will plug directly into the factory Honda harness. Go to Scosche dot com part lookup for your number - I think the wiring schematic is on the outside of the package, too.

SOURCE: need to connect a jet sound graphic equalizer JS-234 to a car stereo. The wires had folded stickers and some a gone. The colors of wires are red,black,gray,green.Only have 2 front speakers .

If it's only 4 wires, Red & black are typically power. red +12volts & black is ground. Gray would be one channel say right side and green would be left (example) you would ground the negative speaker lead on both sides. That is probably an old unit and make sure your car is negative ground. Some Ford & Nissan are positive grounded for some circuits which you may need to reverse the power connections. Make sure there is an in line fuse on the power wire just in case.

Need to know from top left to bottom right what each wire goes to on power plug on jensen car stereo model vm9311

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the question. When wiring an aftermarket car stereo I always recommend purchasing a wiring harness that will connect into the vehicles existing harness, Then you only have to worry about connecting each wire to it's color coded counterpart. With that being said, if you do not have the stock harness I can explain the wiring colors to the best of my memory
Red = 12v Memory power
Yellow = 12v Constant power
Black = Ground
Blue/white = Power Amplifier
Blue = Power antenna
Grey = RF speaker (+)
Grey/Black = RF speaker (-)
White = LF speaker (+)
White/Black = LF speaker (-)
Purple = RR speaker (+)
Purple/Black RR speaker (-)
Green = LR speaker (+)
Green/Black = LR speaker (-)
Sometimes there is a dimmer wire also, usually orange or pink I believe
I hope this helps, & Thanks again!

Alpine 3523 no instructions or wiring

I know this is a little late but I have one and the hookup is very easy, On the right side of the amp there is a six pin plug. Above it it says BATT REMOTE GND. The two pins below BATT are the battery (V+). The pin below REMOTE is the (V+) switched turn on. The two pins below GND are the ground. The rest is simple. Two RCA inputs. The switch to select MONO(R), STEREO, or MONO(L) works as explained. If you want stereo, put the switch in the middle and supply two inputs and two speakers. The MONO(R) and MONO(L) are to select a single input that will supply a single (bridged) output. Connect two speakers and they will supply the same source or connect one speaker to the outer speaker terminals for higher power output. The variable or fixed switch just bypasses the GAIN CONTROL knobs(used for Alpine's 8 pin DIN plug on unit, for older EQ's and head units.

No sound

It could be that the wires in the harness that go to speaker from stereo are not connecting to the leads on the stereo. If this is the case the wires to speakers are not connecting, but the wires from the power source are still good. Try taking the harness out of the back of the stereo that connects all the wires to the leads. Hopefully your wiring is labeled from the factory. If it is it might say "Left front speaker". Isolate this wire and wiggle it inside the harness back and forth. If it moves even a 1/16 of an inch it may be that the leads are not connecting. You can try jerryrigging it by shoving something in their in hopes that it will hold it in place. You may need to replace the harness.
