SOURCE: neutral (white) wire connection
Use caution when dealing with AC, it can be deadly.
The black wire by accepted standards is the 'hot' wire and will measure (when active) 110-125 volts (in the US) to ground or the white neutral wire in a normal household system.
The white wire may have a couple of volts when measured to an earth ground or any green (or green-yellow) wire which is (by standards) connected to earth ground, often via plumbing pipes in some homes, or a visible or buried grounding rod driven several feet into the earth.
The black (hot) wire is the one customarily 'switched.'
I would highly recommend you have a qualified electrician reconnect the strayed wires to protect yourself and the fan.
SOURCE: replace the batteries on the remote,
Simply continue sliding front panel down until it stops. At this point, move same panel left to right and apply further pull down pressure. Panel will now be removed from controller and reveal batteries.
Hope this helps, Ash.
SOURCE: replaced wiper motor but still won't work buzzes
can you move the linkage when you pulled the motor?
SOURCE: top element not working all wires are connected
Very possible the element on top has a break some where but maybe small enough you cant see it or could be hiden. If you have access to a multimeter put it to ohms and with it unplugged from the outlet take the wires off the element and check the element itself if the multimeter reads OL the element is bad.

Remove
the bolts or screws securing the console to the upright assembly. Lift the
console and confirm that the cable connections are secure. Remove the cover
from the console's battery bay and install a fresh set of batteries. Replace
the battery cover.
2
Detach
the ends of the pedals from the crank axles. Remove the left and right disc
shields and side shields. Inspect the interior of the base unit and locate the
flywheel.
3
Inspect
the flywheel as it turns. Locate the magnet installed on the flywheel. Turn the
flywheel until the magnet passes in front of the nearby reed switch. Loosen the
screw securing the switch in place. Rotate the switch to reduce the gap between
it and the magnet. Tighten the screw.
4
Replace
the left and right disc shields and side shields. Reattach the ends of the
pedals to the crank axles.
Finally tight the flexible cord form keypanel vs display board and then tight the display board vs lower board.
See if you can meassure +5VDC from lower board to display board.
see the block diagram for your final diagnostic.
Sincerely. Merry Christmas.
