there is no possible way to remotely restart a tablet but there is a way to do it press and hold the power key for about five seconds and this will force the tablet to turn off or reboot the android system and it should be fine however if it freezes again this can be an issue with the android system itself and the tablet will need to be reset (resetting android for some tablets: press and hold the power and volume down (or volume up) key and this will boot to recovery mode for some others say like samsung press the power volume up (or down) along with the home key to go into recovery mode)

The Issue

The problem usually presents itself like this: you boot up your tablet and the tablet reaches the Android logo and hangs there and never moves. If you attempt to restart or reset the tablet through the Android recovery mode that too does not help and the tablet is basically useless as it will not start-up.
