SOURCE: hdmi

Bring up the "service" menu, put the TV in standby mode, then press in sequence :

Onscreen Display ( the little screen with the i+ in it )
5 ( channel number 5 )
Volume Up ( upper end of volume button )
Analogue ( middle top button )

The TV should switch on and when it's warmed up, you should see a screen with lots of big green lettering on it.

Press the "menu" button ( middle bottom )

Use the direction dial to move down to "LCD Drivers" and press right on the dial to enter this menu.

Move down to "S H Pos Reg R". It should be "10", change it to "11". ( Left/Right to adjust )
Move down to "S H Pos Reg G". It should be "10", change it to "11".
Move down to "S H Pos Reg B". It should be "10", change it to "11".

Press the menu bottom to drop out of the menus, and the standby button to drop to standby. Switch back on, and hopefully your ghosting will be gone.

SOURCE: Problem with Sony Wega 50 in kdf-50we655 light blinks 55 times

I fixed my problem by removing the lamp and vacuuming the hell out of the hole where the lamp lives and also getting all of the dust out of the rear ventilation grids with my vacuum. I put the old lamp back in and what do you know the TV has worked perfectly ever since. My lamp was over a year old and did not show any signs of hazing on the lens that you might see on a lamp that has a ton of hours on it. I just thought I would try to put it back in before I spent a couple of hundred bucks on a new lamp.
TA DA problem fixed.

Is my Sony Grand Wega Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) compatible?

Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) What is Consumer Electronics Control (CEC)?
Consumer Electronics Control or CEC is a function that allows you to control multiple devices over HDMI using one remote control by having a secondary device receive commands from a primary device. Although CEC wiring is required for every HDMI port it does not mean that every HDMI port will have the function enabled.
If your device has the CEC function, this information will be located under your setup or settings menu.
To enable the function you will need to turn the CEC function on and then search for any devices that are CEC enabled that are connected to the TV.

Change HDMI connector on a KDF50WE655

They are difficult to change. Unless you have the right equipment and a lot of experience soldering small connections you will probably not be successful. Also the pads on the board that the pins solder to are very fragile, the slightest overheating and they will lift off the board. That tv should have more than one hdmi, i would suggest either hook up something using component if you run out of hdmi connections or use an av receiver and hook up components to the receiver and you will only need one hdmi from the receiver to the tv.
