I have an Energizer E2 Slider battery charger, Is the green light supposed to stay on when charging. Does it shut off when charge complete.

Mine is an Invacare M51 Pronto Surestep with an onboard Winsunny battery charger. My charging lights are solid red and green/ yellow. Depending on if it is charging or not. What kind of charger do you have?
I have to replace my charger because it is not working. My green light is staying green while charging even though my joystick is showing my batteries are depleting and I just got new batteries. sigh.

The manual says it will be green when the batteries are placed in charger correctly. It has an automatic charge timer an shuts down.

As above, the 4 green lights go OUTOUTweighs each cell is charged.

It sounds like it's heating up after the electricity has nowhere else to go. It's probably supposed to do that.

The red and green lights indicate if the batteries in the charger are either charging or are finished charging.
If they are charging, the light will be red, and if they are finished charging, the light will be green.

When the charger light is changing from red to green that is a indication that it is charging the battery. When the charge is complete the light will stay green until the battery is removed or the charger is unplugged.

If your charging 2 batteries only they must be palced in the following poistions on the charger
1. both side by side in the 2 left slots

or

2. one each in the two right slots.

Otherwise the batteries will not charge.

If the batteries are charging the battery indicators

Try a new or other charger, problem may be with the charger.

wHEN THE GREEN LIGHTS COME ON IT TAKES ABOUT 12 HOURS TO FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERIES. WWHEN CHARGED THE LIGHTS GO OUT. Ken13

I would go to Radio Shack and have them explain the proper charging procedure as well as inquire about the red and green lights as not all chargers go green when fully charged-Normally red indicates a charging action and if a charger has no fully charged light, then a required charge time period is noted in the instructions. Batteries can be ruined by over charging!
