Pasload cordless finishing gun - still won't fire

I have dismantled, degreased, cleaned, dried and oiled my finishing gun. I removed and cleaned the spark plug cover, dried everything in sight. I added a couple of drops of oil (all products are Paslode ones). I put in a new gas cartridge. (Yes, I did check that the cover was fully down and gas was emitted on depressing the white nipple). I put in a freshly charged battery. I've done this twice and the b----- thing still won't fire.
Once I depressed the gas whilst fitted and heard a hiss of gas into the nailer. It fired just once. So, I assumed there was no blockage. But, to be sure, I blew air through the tube from the cartridge into the chamber on one of the cleanings. No barrier to gas transfer. I'm stuck and I'm half way through putting battens on my son's house before the renderer arrives. Help please!

Barrel and fan cover 'o' rings may be leaking/ need replacing. item no 17 on the parts diagram.

Do you have a spark, you should just be able to hear the spark firing when the gun is applied to the work surface and the trigger pulled, it sounds like a click.if no spark heard it could be the switch on the fan head not working , a bad ignitor , or the spark is not sparking in the correct place, chaffed ignition wires.

is the gas you are using in date, there should be a date stamp on the gas bottle. if its out of date it can give problems.

Fire blade pasload pin gun doesn't punch the nail in

I'm assuming you've adjusted the depth gauge and this has had no affect? If so you need to do a full service before anything else. That's replacing both upper and lower o rings and give it a good clean. It sounds like your losing compression.

I have a pasload im 250 ii straight finish nailer when I pull the trigger the motor runs with out the tip being pressed is this normal and when I press the tip and pull the trigger it does not fire

Yes, it is normal for the fan to run when the trigger is pulled. Does the fan start when you depress the nose?
If not, it most likely is a bent contact element, or a bad head switch.

The pin on my Dewalt dc616 cordless finish nail gun is ceasing up. How can i lubricate it? can i spray silicon into the nose of the gun?

Hello, W/D here.

The better way is to disconnect the air line from the gun, and place several drops of light oil in the gun while holding the trigger down. Oil daily. Then, re-connect the hose, and fire a few nails into scrap wood.
Another trick is to spray your nails with WD-40 before you load them into the gun.
Best regards, --W/D--

I have a paslode straight finish nailer, purchased in Australia around 2001. The problem is that the pin that drives the nail out of the gun does not retract back into the cylinder. I have it apart and the...

is the cylinder really dirty, if so it needs a thorough cleaning. your instruction mnual detailes how to do this. also look for a jammed nail in the nose area and possibly a bent driver.

Make sure the spark plug ignites. Take tool apart as in cleaning. Hold micr switch near fan and watch as you pull trigger. you will see a spark. If not check the lead to igniter

I have paslode finishing nail gun , i cleaned it, not working now

The smoking is normal for a few times after cleaning ,but you might have put to much oil drops in chamber and piston chamber is getting a "vapor lock". Try recleaning with degreaser. Also have you forgotten to set the depth gauge at front of nose.
