I have dismantled, degreased, cleaned, dried and oiled my finishing gun.
I removed and cleaned the spark plug cover, dried everything in sight. I added a couple of drops of oil (all products are Paslode ones).
I put in a new gas cartridge. (Yes, I did check that the cover was fully down and gas was emitted on depressing the white nipple).
I put in a freshly charged battery.
I've done this twice and the b----- thing still won't fire.
Once I depressed the gas whilst fitted and heard a hiss of gas into the nailer. It fired just once. So, I assumed there was no blockage. But, to be sure, I blew air through the tube from the cartridge into the chamber on one of the cleanings. No barrier to gas transfer.
I'm stuck and I'm half way through putting battens on my son's house before the renderer arrives.
Help please!
Barrel and fan cover 'o' rings may be leaking/ need replacing. item no 17 on the parts diagram.
Do you have a spark, you should just be able to hear the spark firing when the gun is applied to the work surface and the trigger pulled, it sounds like a click.if no spark heard it could be the switch on the fan head not working , a bad ignitor , or the spark is not sparking in the correct place, chaffed ignition wires.
is the gas you are using in date, there should be a date stamp on the gas bottle. if its out of date it can give problems.
