For that model the night vision is only visible up to a maximum of 25 Metres! How far is your car away from the camera?

Look here's the problem you got ir cameras but it only lights up to 2 meters what you need to do is install a led outside on the wall next to the cameras get the one with a Sencer switch its will come on when there's movement and you will get good pictures its just there is not enough lux to c anything outside you can get a better cameras that will work up to 25 meters @ 7000 rand or got a light at 200rand up to you

My swann 8-camera system, each night goes into the "no video Mode" each night and comes back on in the daylight.

It's going into ir sound like you are not supplying enough power to the cameras or you might have a timer on you system

If any cameras on night vision the pic soo fuzzy u cant see, NV off it goes back to visible?

At night can you see the red led's ? If not they are not working. Make sure in camera settins if there is a option to enable night vision. If you mean at night it is fuzzy cloudy then it could be led's are bouncing light back creating a hazy whitish image. Or lens is dirty on the inside which it happens. Last is low end low quality cameras

I have the swann 8 channel platinum cctv camera system and whilst it works with amazing quality during the day, the night vision is almost non-existant, it won't trigger cameras and is very dark on sc

Nearly all cameras work well in the day. Night vision depends on the type of camera and the technology it is using. For example a CMOS based camera will provide a very poor quality picture in the dark. A CCD Super HAD CCD II will provide a good picture with 0.01 illumination and a EXVie HAD CCD II will provide an even better picture with lux of 0.001. You really need to look at the specifications of the camera before you buy and not go with the "Platinum" or hype keywords used by the manufacturer. I have seen a lot of SWAN Cameras which are basically useless at night.

Bunker hill security color camera model 95914 suppose to have night vision, has the led lights that circle around the lens. Should those lights be red or at least light up for night vision? I can't see...

If the LEDS are truly for night vision only, then they are most likely Infra-Red types, invisible to the human eye, but visible to camera sensor. A way to test if they are IR and working is to point another digital camera directly at the front of the security camera at night.
The cell phone or webcam sensor will see IR LED's as white spots.
As for this model coming with night vision, I don't know.

Maybe it's a strange question but can I get a pet leash that glows in the dark? I walk my dog a lot at night and our area isn't so well lit. He keeps wrapping the leash around things and peopl

Actually you can get glow in the dark pet leashes. They're a great invention. Best is to the get the one that recharge in daylight, so they can be full when you head out at night. Try this website: http://www.lovemypetsgps.com/lovemypets-leash-p-30.html

The camera still works but when its dark in the room nothing shows on the monitor. If we turn the light on it works. It seems like the night vision feature is broken. I covered what looked like the light...

  1. It should go to automatic night vision. If this feature is not working then the answer to will a flashlight work the answer is not very well. The light will have to be on the child and a flashlight does not have much light behind it. Perhaps if you put a small lamp on a dresser that shines on the area the child is, this may work enough to keep an eye on him/her. A flashlight not so much. Hope this helps.

  • If you can manually change the sensitivity ie iso you will get better images in low light. My digital camera on auto is not good in low light but I do the above and get satisfactory images.good luck...jw
