Disconnect power switch and then use an ohm meter to check if continuity is there when the switch is "on" position and open when off. If switch checks out the problem lies with the brushes in the motor - see if you can replace them to restore motor operation.

Bad Switch? Bad motor? Get a volt ohm meter out and test for power to and thru the switch. Pull the door panel and check the power and ground to the window motor

Ford expedition drivers side window won't roll up

well windows are usually pretty simple. It could be the window switch, the regulator bound up, or the motor itself went out. try jiggling the switch, actuate the switch over and over..see if you get any movement. sometimes smacking the side panel will jolt the motor. If that doesn't work i usually take off the door panel, try supplying the motor power, if that works that tells me the switch is bad. if the motor doesnt do anything even with 12volts supplied, then that tells us the motor is bad. if you hear the motor work but its grinding and nothing happens, the regulator is bad. Let me know if you have questions, i can help you further

Why is my driver side power window not working

Tough to diagnose without being there but from my experience it sure sounds like either a bad window switch or bad window motor. Using a 12 Volt test light, try to determine if either of the 2 wires at the window motor receives power when you use push the window switch. If theres power at those 2 wires when you push the switch you probably have a bad motor. If not, then your switch is probably bad. A third but less likely possibility is that the window regulator is jammed. However,
you would hear some sort of sound from the motor trying to move the glass. You said you heard nothing. Hope this helps.

My drivers side window will roll down but not up. is the window regulator going bad

No the window regulator is not going bad in most cases, but to make a final determination of what the cause is, answer this, does the window make any attempt to roll up? if not then the switch is defective, if it does try to move lubricate the window channel's with dry Graphite spray and see if that eases the roll up problem.

1999 Buick Century, driver's side electric window will not roll down. All the other windows still work.

most likely the problem is the driver side switch or the motor you will have to jump the motor to determine the problem

Driver side power window on 2000 s-10 will not go up

The switch has a bad connection or the motor is bad. There are small brushes in the motor that lose connection. Until you get it fixed try holding the switch button to roll up window while slamming the door this might jar the motor enough to work to get the window up
