Here are some methods to help if you don't have enough space on iCloud.

Method 1. Delete Photos/Videos from iCloud
One of the biggest data hogs to take up your iCloud storage space is the photos and videos. iPhone/iPad will automatically back up all your videos and photos to your iCloud. Therefore, deleting photos and videos from iCloud will free up iCloud storage a lot.
1. Tap on Setting > iCloud > Storage. Then tap on Manage Storage.
2. And then tap on This iPhone.
3. Under the Backup options, you will see Photo Library option, set the slider to OFF position.
4. Tap on Turn off & Delete to delete all photos and videos from iCloud.

Method 2. Delete Data & Documents
If you still find that there is no enough storage on your iCloud, you can try to delete these app-related documents and data to free up iCloud storage.
1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage.
2. Select an app under "Documents & Data".(The first one genrally takes the biggest storage)
3. After selecting the app, tap the "Edit" tab in the upper right corner and then select the specific document to remove, or tap the "Delete All" tab.

Method 3. Close Unnessary Backups for Apps
If there are entire apps that you don't need to backup, you can do so by following the steps below to fix not enough iCloud storage for your iOS devices:
1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage.
2. Select the device you want to manage the backup for.
3. Under "Backup Options", toggle apps off that you do not want to sync to iCloud.

I want to delete photos etc ond my icloud to get more space without buying more storage?

The following guide will show you how to delete unwanted photos/videos on iCloud.

1. Tap on Setting > iCloud > Storage. Then tap on Manage Storage.
2. And then tap on This iPhone.
3. Under the Backup options, you will see Photo Library option, set the slider to OFF position.

After deleting existing photos and videos, you can either set the Photo Library back to ON position and start backing up new photos to iCloud or keep it OFF and use Photo Stream. IPhone 5 frozen. Why does it display 'not enough storage to back up phone and it can be corrected In settings'?

It must be full, not enough free space remaining. Just like a computer, a completely full hard drive can result in a "freeze up". In settings, you can go to general, storage and iCloud usage and then look at how much free space is available. You may need to delete some stuff and/or limit what you backup to iCloud, or buy more iCloud space.

How to remove an app from Icloud

There is a fairly detailed explantion of this on this page: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/deleting-unwanted-apps-from-icloud/ which also has links to additional information on the subject. Also, there is a link on the page to http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/deleting-app-data-from-icloud/ that tells even more on the subject.

Information on the second link says: "If you have an app that stores its data in iCloud and want to remove that data from your device and your iCloud account, you can do this by going into the Settings app and selecting iCloud, Storage and Backup and then the Manage Storage option. Read more at http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/deleting-unwanted-apps-from-icloud/#QKzSf1B4fOPsZ8GZ.99"

I've not had reason to do this, so this is untried. Best of luck!

My iphone 4 says not enough local storage, how do i manage local storage?

Local storage is internal memory, If you never delete your texts over the years just imagine all of them and all the photos and videos you have sent and received, they are still there and it takes up alot of space. I went through my texts and removed 75% of my texts and it gave me almost 5gigs back.!
