Whatever the monitor is connected to is producing a signal that cannot be detected by the monitor. Check the settings on the device. If not post the device info.

How can i reset my kguard dvr hd881

To reset a Kguard DVR system, you will need to locate the reset button on the device. This button is usually located on the back or bottom of the DVR, and is typically labeled "Reset" or "Factory Reset". Press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds, or until the device powers off and restarts. This will reset the DVR to its factory default settings.

I have a LG Flatron E2750v Monitor connected with a standard cord between the monitor In the center of the screen it reads: D-Sub out of range 68.5Khz/85Hz VGA Port or Power saving mode HDMI Port

Hi, that message indicates that your video source is providing an unsupported video resolution , please check in settings that video output resolution is no more than 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
Also remember to verify that HDMI is selected as input source at monitor.

Dvr re-starts when login in

Sounds like a DVR issue. Probably a defect. Check if there is a firmware update. It may cure that.

I have a LG Flatron EW224 computer monitor. It was working great but one day the screen went blank and reads in the center of screen: D-Sub out of range 68.5Khz/85Hz. Does anyone know how to correct this...

This is usually due to your computer Video resolution being set to a setting out of the supported range of your monitor, Lowering the computer video resolution should solve this issue.

Is it possible to use HW173D monitor with DVR and security camera

Unless your DVR offers a VGA output connector, you won't be able to use your monitor simply by plugging in a cable. The monitor VGA input requires separate signals for each color (red, green and blue) and synchronizing signals (vertical and horizontal). If the DVR has only composite video out, you'll need a video to VGA adapter. These are available from many online sources. They aren't cheap since they are active electronic devices, but many are in the $50 to $75 range. Here is one typical result from a Google search for "video to vga converter". You might also check eBay or local sources such as craigslist to see if anybody has bargains.
