Depends whether the thread is breaking or pulling out.
Usually, timing causes the threads to miss stitches. And, yes, timing can be repaired.
Remove ALL the thread from the machine and rethread from the beginning. Be sure to ALWAYS raise the presser foot when threading. This releases the tension disks so the threads will seat completely. However, it also helps to give each thread a little tug and sometimes the thread will pop when it seats.
If thead is pulling out, be sure to pull a lot (at least 6") of thread tail through before beginning to stitch.
If the thread is breaking, check that it is threaded correctly and that each thread is threaded in the proper order (usually upper looper first, then lower looper with the thread draped OVER the upper looper). Threading in the wrong order will almost guarantee it will not work.
Also check that the tensions are not set too tight. Generally, to start out, set all the tensions at the midway point.

SOURCE: keeps cutting the thread from inside the machine
Make sure all of your threads are in between the tension dials. Sounds that the machine isn't catching because of the tension. Good Luck
