Why photos have lines and pink color?

Most likely clogs in magenta ink nozzles. Do a head cleaning and then a nozzle check. The nozzle check tells you if you need more head cleaning.
More detail if we knew what printer you have, the above is pretty generic.

The heater was serviced and working perfectly about 7-8 years ago and not used since it has just sat in the corner of the garage now when plugged in it sometimes emits masses of white smoke and fumes which...

Im assuming from what your said about "when plugged in" , the heater is electric.

Whether it electric or gas, it simply needs a thorough cleaning, Remember it sat in the "corner of the garage from about 7-8 years ago?" It gathered a lot of dust, dirt, lint and probably a spider or two or even a mouse nest.. It needs to be cleaned inside and out, That should solve your problem. However, do not use water to clean it.

Use a vacuum cleaner that has a hose and crevice tool attachment to accomplish this. Be careful not to break or disturb any wiring. Use canned compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with) to reach into the nooks and crannies to blow away the dust. After you're satisfied that you have done a thorough, spot one job cleaning the heater, reassemble it and give it a try.

This should help to solve your problem, mate.

I have an Epson Picture Mate Charm Compact photo Style C11CA56203-N. The pictures are coming out yellow and I've tried 3 different brand new ink cartridges, is there a way to fix?

Hi!
Did you run a Head Cleaning Cycle after changing the ink cartridges? Run at least Three head cleaning cycle to clean the nozzles of your printer.
Hope this helps...

My printer won't print it sat for 6 months we put new ink in and it scans and goes through the actions but doesn't print ink

The problem with printers like Epson is that they cannoy stand without being used for that long. The print head that is largely responsible for print quality is built into the machine and the last ink that passed through 6 months ago is hardened inside. Dry several deep cleanings with nozzle checks inbetween. You may need to send it for manual print head cleaning with a printer technician.

Lines thru photos

Try to clean the nozzles with the printer troubleshooter. It will force all the nozzles to print at maximum quality and will clean the clogged nozzles. If the procedure fail, then try again. This happens when you are not using the printer for long periods of time. If cleaning nozzles will not be helpful, then remove the color cartridge from his place and put it with the printing head in warm distilled water for 30 minutes. When the water is coloured by the ink, take the cartridge and touch the printing head with a soft paper towell. If a clear line of colour is printed on the towell, then is OK, put it back in the printer and print a test page. If is not , try again with patience.

Epson C86 sat idle 6 weeks. Now will not print.

I assume that you aren't getting any error messages or flashing lights and that the paper is going through but coming out clean. If so try doing 4 to 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:

Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Color, getting primarly blue in my printed photos

Try cleaning the nozzles of your printer. If it sat unused for awhile, some of the ink may have dried and clogged the nozzles. To clean your inkjet nozzles, open your printer's Properties screen and look for a tab labeled Maintenance, Services, or something similar. If you can't find it, look under Printer Preferences on the General tab. It may take a few times of cycling through the cleaning process to get them unclogged. Check the progress after each cycle by printing a test page.

Epson Stylus Photo R800 Print Head Nozzles ??

Don't use nozzles clean function, besides ink consuming it can cause damages that cannot be fixed: black lines on the back side of the page that will be permanent. Instead put two photo paper together (2x260 gr) and push the two papers together into the printer while printing a motive including many colors. Do so a couple of times and the clogg usually disappears. Good luck! jonk

No ink

The ink may have dried up. Try this: Put a wet cloth in the microwave to heat it up. Place the ink cartridges on the hot rag with the nozzles resting on the rag. Try not to touch the copper contacts on the cartridge. Do this until the ink begins to seep from the cartridge. Put the cartridge back in the printer and run the cleaning phases again.
