My phone is in Guest Mode. Not sure why and don't know how to change it. It asks for a password that I don't have.
I screwed it up, I guess. We were traveling and I was trying to get the free motel WiFi. Somehow I accidentally put the phone is Guest Mode. Now I can't text, get my contacts or my gallery of pictures.

Let me know what happened after.....
Not sure if this will work without some user's account being open, but try starting Task Manager. Press Ctrl/Alt/Delete. Press all 3 keys at the sme time. There should be a "reset password" option. But again, I don't know if you can do this unless a user is already signed in. If it doesn't work, the computer should have a "public" or "guest" account. When it wants your password, look for "change users". Click on that and select he guest, or public, or whatever it is labelled, account, and you'll be in the computer, but not in your owner's account. And if you try the task manager/change password from the guest account it may not let you do anything with your owner's account. If all else fails, call HP at 800-474-6836.
The TOTAL ROUTER RESET instructions are:
Press and hold the Reset button on the E1550 at the bottom panel for about five (5) seconds then release, or access the web-based setup page then go to the Administration tab > Factory Defaults and click the Restore Factory Defaults button. To know more about this, click here.
BASIC RESET FOR ALL LINKSYS ROUTERS:
Step 1: Locate the Reset button and, using a pen or a paper clip, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds. QUICK TIP: For router models such as the Linksys Wireless-B and Wireless-G routers, press and hold the Reset button for 30 seconds.
The best way to do this is using the Offline NT Password & Registry editor. You can download it at the following link: http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/
This utility will enable you to reset the password of any user
that has a valid (local) account on your Windows NT/2k/XP/Vista
etc system. The link above includes some directions on how to use this utility.
You can't enter the laptop until it has Guest Account Enabled. It is surely disabled. And for that Forgotten Password, try to remember that do you have any other user on that laptop. If yes, then log into on behalf of that user and change the password of yours by accessing the User Account Page in the Control Panel. This way you need not have to remember the Password of that account. And if you don't have any other administrator, then try a Hard Reset. You can do it by De-attaching every internal and external Attachable part of the Laptop.
Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.
do you have a guest acount on the computer?Try safe mode once more enter as a guest change the administrator acount password. This can be done under user acount in the control panel
Good luck
Power up your 'puter and press f8 to enter windows in safe mode. When it boots into safe mode go to your start button... select control panel.. and find user accounts . Enter and make yourself a new user account.. select administrator account . Close and and reboot the computer. Select your new user account and it should boot into windows. Go back to user accounts and you should see your account.. a guest account.. and the account of whoever owned the computer before you . That account will say password protected. select delete user account and click on the old users account . Windows will say it will delete the account and all files of the user. if it asks select ok and be patient . It will be a few minutes as windows deletes the account. Do a final reboot and the old account and password should be gone. Good luck. Don
