SOURCE: unit wont turn on

.Hi jepenny

The board you are looking at is the standby cct and power switching PCB. It sounds like that is working, so you have probably lost power to the transformer primary or the transformer is open circuit. Check for blown fuses and replace with exact same type and rating.

Be sure to unplug at the wall before touching any internals!!

If you can find no blown fuses, the power transformer may have failed. Good luck, get back to me here is you need any more advice. Thanks for using "FixYa"

regards
Graeme

SOURCE: Nothing happen when pressing the Start/Stop button.

One ov my decks (same Gemini PT-1000 II) had the same problem. Just open it and clean the micro switches underneath the big buttons. It worked fine for me.

SOURCE: I have an Emprex Model WT323 LCD tv.

Does the lights on the front have a pattern to them or does it just turn on green and stay that way? If the lights have a pattern or turns on green then goes to orange or some other color then I would start with the power board. If the light stays green the whole time then I would turn all the lights off and shine a flashlight up real close to the screen and see if you see anything. If you do then it is your inverter board which controls your backlights.

Good Luck

SOURCE: Monitor will not turn on. Power to the unit OK.

It can be the power switch actuator is broken, it is badly designed for expensive monitor. Do you feel any clicking when you push on the power button?
See my pictures here and post back what you find.

If it is OK, then you will need to dig deeper into troubleshooting it.

Testimonial: "The button does seem to have a "dead" feel to it. I will take it apart to trouble shoot it tonight. Thank you very much."

How do you manually reset a lowrance eliite 5

You can try holding in the zoom in/out buttons (+/-) as you push and release the power button.
Hold the zoom keys until you hear a beep.
If your hard restart is successful. You should see the GPS screen with prompts for language etc.
if you cannot get the system to cooperate and all you see is the "Lowrance" screen, then you are experiencing a Castro pic system failure and the unit needs to go back to Lowrance.

When puushing the buttons on x125 will not react try to set program can not page up or down can not get into programs it will not power down

Your system is a bit older and may be reaching the end of its life. PrI or to giving up hope try a hard restart.with the unit turned off press and hold both the zoom in and zoom out buttons.press and release the power button to turn the unit on while you continue to hold both zoom buttons release the zoom buttons when you see a prompt appear on the screen. If this has no effect repeat the process only holding in the zoom out and pages buttons. Lowrance flip flops back and forth on their button configuration for doing hard restarts and I can never keep them straight from unit to unit. Hope this helps.

My lowrance 520c GPS stopped working. When I turn it on it shows the last lake I was AT. And the trail marker does not work

I have a 525... Several things and go step by step... First, make sure your getting 12v of power to your "puck"... On the Lowrance site there is a step by step guide for testing. Just because your getting power to the main unit does not mean your getting power to your the gps module. There are three different power sources on these units. Main power, sonar and gps! If your getting 12v coming out of the data port then check power to the cords, and to the T... If all that is correct the its likely your gps module. You can order a new one directly from Lowrance customer support for 50% off the normal price as a replacement. They will likely upgrade you to the 4000 series. Comes with all wiring, T connector but not the resistor cap. Best time to call Lowrance is 8:15 am central time when the phones are turned on!

Cannot access main menu or pages screen

I think I can help with your issue. I have an LMS 334c and have had a few issues in the past. Called the factory (this answer is not listed any where in your manual) and they instructed me to "Soft Re Boot" my unit and it would put everything back to factory settings. Try this anytime it does not respond for whatever reason.

Turn the unit off.

At the same time press the Pages and Power button. Hold both down until you see the square box come up in the screen. You should have your factory settings again. May need to try a few times.
Lowrance said it works just like a computer, ever now and then it just tries to disect to much information at one time and hangs up.
Good luck. James Cantwell

Garmin GPS problem

I have a 276C that has the same problem. Garmin has a unit with this problem and is working on a solution. The problem is that the real time clock loses time when the unit is turned off and disconnected from a power source. As a result when you turn on the unit it thinks the satelites are in a different orbit than where they actually are. The unit will continue trying to aquire forever and not find the satelites. You have to select "New Location" from the menu and select "Autolocate" and the unit will start to look for any satelites in view. The unit should get a fix within 15 minutes. This is a very frustrating problem having to reset it every day. There is a new version of firmware (5.3). I don't know if the problem has been fixed with this release.
